ChapterSeven

Salvatore

We’d followed Angelina and Diane up the stairs, loving all the enthusiasm coming from them. Several times she’d paused to study a painting or touch it with reverence.

“Man, if she fingers those paintings like that one more time, I swear I’ll come in my boxers.”

Luca’s thoughts had been in my head. I reprimanded him, but out loud. “Will you just stop it, Luca?”

Angelina turned to look at me in confusion. “What are you two talking about?”

“Nothing. Just Luca being an ass.” I glared at my brother, who smiled innocently back at me.

“Take no notice of these two. Between us, we should be able to keep them under control.”

“Hmm, let’s hope so, Diane. Think we’ll be in for an uphill struggle.” Angelina looked from Luca to me and winked.

I had hoped helping Michael in the garden would, with any luck, put our naughty thoughts to one side for a moment. But then our woman took a nosedive out of her bedroom window. The conversation afterwards, and her reason for doing so, was such a turn-on. I wasn’t certain how long either of us would be able to last without making love to her.

When we returned to the garden to help Michael, after almost laying Angelina out and taking her in the living room, our focus had totally slipped. I dropped one of the rocks on my foot and swore loudly in Italian. Luca threw back his head and roared with laughter.

“Not funny, Luca,” I grumbled.

“Come on, you two. Concentrate on the job in hand,” Michael ordered.

Thank God I healed quickly, or I’d have been shambling around with a broken foot for weeks. The next hour or so, we worked on getting the rockery in order. Then we’d go in search of our little temptress.

“I can’t wait to share blood with her, Sal.”

Luca’s eager words started an ache in my groin.

“Me too, but she won’t be prepared for the sexual pull the three of us will share after tasting one another’s blood.”

“I know. I just hope she’ll allow us to love her soon.”

Luca nodded his agreement. This was going to test both of us if she still wasn’t ready for sex. One way or another, I was determined it would happen before we took her to work the following morning.

Diane took me on a tour of the house. Well, they called it a house. I called it a gigantic country pile. I was certain I’d require a road map to help me find my way around. On the ground floor was the kitchen, which had a large pine table at its centre.

“This is where the boys prefer to eat. It’s a more relaxed atmosphere,” Diane explained.

I understood what they meant when we entered the formal dining room. It seated up to twenty people and wasn’t used very often. It was a shame, in a way, with the massive walnut table and chairs, grand silver candelabras, and gleaming crystal chandelier.

Other rooms on the ground floor were a cloakroom, various sitting/living rooms, cinema room, games room, gym, and a swimming pool, complete with steam room, sauna, and hot tub. My head was spinning with the magnitude of it all. The next floor housed several large bedrooms, all with en-suites. It was the stairs leading to the top floor which caught my attention the most.

“What’s up there?” I asked Diane.

I put one foot on the first step when she gently pulled me back. I regarded her with a frown.

“The top floor is completely private. It’s all ready and waiting to be used.”

“Why can’t I go up there, and what is it waiting to be used for?”

Her smile was secretive. “You will know when the time is right to go up there.”

“I don’t understand.” I shrugged.

She drew me into a warm hug and whispered to me, “You will understand, love. I promise you.”

And with that, she strode back down the stairs to the ground floor, leaving me confused.

For the rest of the afternoon, I spent my time with Diane, helping to prepare dinner for Luca, Salvatore, and me. It was such a happy time, and she entertained me with stories of the guys when they were younger.

Their favourite dish of Diane’s was lasagne and homemade garlic bread. “This is a secret recipe handed down from Isabella, their mother, to me. I’m so happy to have someone else to pass it on to.”

We were eating at around six-thirty. I had about an hour before then, so I headed for my room to take a shower. The only other clothes I’d brought with me were my work clothes for the next day, and an extra T-shirt. The change of top would have to do. There was a knock at the door. When I opened it, a vision of hotness inflamed my body. Luca and Salvatore stood there, leaning at either side of the door. They wore tight black jeans and black fitted shirts. I wanted to purr and rub my body shamelessly against them.

“We thought you might like to sit at the kitchen table and eat. It’s a little less formal and more relaxed.” Luca smiled.

“Hmm, and Diane informs us you’re now keeper of the secret recipe for lasagne. I can’t wait to eat it.” When Salvatore spoke about eating, his eyes roved over me with complete ownership, leaving me to wonder what else he wanted to eat.

“I hope it lives up to your expectations,” I said as they escorted me down to the kitchen.

“Oh. Sweet. Jesus.” Salvatore groaned his pleasure as he took the first bite of my lasagne.

“Is it okay?”

He lifted my hand to his mouth and pressed a light kiss on it. “It’s divine. Thank you.”

Luca took my other hand and kissed it too.

“It was my pleasure. I had a great time with Diane. She’s so lovely. Plus,” I added with a secretive smile, “I was given a lot of information about the two of you.”

“Stories about our antics, no doubt?”

I laughed. “Oh, yes, Luca. She has plenty more too, so I’m told.”

Salvatore put his cutlery back on his plate and groaned. “I knew these two would be trouble together.”

After helping me clear up the dishes, the air became heavy with tension. I knew that soon I’d be sharing blood with them. I was slightly anxious, but also excited.

“Come, bella,” Luca murmured. “It’s time.”

Taking their outstretched hands, we headed out of the kitchen and into a cosy sitting room. As we sat on the couch together, I wondered how I was going to cope with the intensity of it all.
