Angelina

I woke to the sound of loud noises, and I was warm. So warm. Memories of what I’d been through assaulted me. Puking. Sweating. Then there was darkness. Was I dead now? I opened my eyes; the room was in shadow, and I was cradled in Luca and Salvatore’s arms. The noises I could hear were coming from the house itself. The floorboards creaked, a sound I’d never heard before. An owl hooted loudly. The sounds of the wind blowing in the breeze outside. I could even hear individual leaves rustling.

There were the soft rhythmic thuds of two heartbeats. Luca and Salvatore. Sounds started to overwhelm me. If this was how it was going to be now I’d survived my ordeal and had my new powers, I was afraid I’d go mad. My body should have felt weak after what I’d gone through, but I felt stronger. As though I could jump out of the window and run a marathon in record time. I whimpered, and Luca and Salvatore woke. Their hands stroked my skin with loving care, and their expressive eyes showered me with so much love and adoration that I let out a sob.

“The noises. Everything is so loud,” I moaned, clapping my hands over my ears.

Luca stroked my face while Salvatore kissed my cheek and whispered, “We can help you to deal with the sounds. We love you so much, bella.”

“Sal is right. We can help you. And now we will be together for eternity. You have made us the happiest men alive.”

I pressed my hands harder over my ears because every sound was now amplified. Salvatore stood behind me and massaged my shoulders. Luca stood in front and placed his hands on my shoulders.

“Look at me, bella.”

I did as Luca asked.

“Good girl. Now think about having a volume control inside your head. Then imagine dialling it down.”

I closed my eyes and conjured up the image of a knob, visualising it turning the noise down. It took a few goes before I got the hang of it. I opened my eyes and sighed.

“Better?” Luca asked.

“Much. Thanks.”

“It becomes easier the longer you practice, until you no longer realise you’re doing it,” Sal assured me.

Tears fell from my eyes. I moved from between them and headed for the bathroom. They were right behind me, eyeing me in question. A smile curved my lips, and I kissed one then the other.

“Nothing’s wrong. Quit worrying. I just need a minute, okay?”

They nodded and sat on the edge of the bed. This was all so overwhelming, a little time alone to gather my thoughts was a good thing. Also, I was grateful I didn’t have to explain the need to pee and brush my teeth. Some things a girl must do on her own. After seeing to my needs, I stared at myself in the huge mirror above the twin sinks. Outwardly, I still looked like Angelina Squires. The inside was a completely different matter. My body definitely felt stronger. I guess I’d already begun to change with our earlier exchange of blood, so they could keep tabs on me. Now it was complete, my body really did feel different.

My back flooded with a tingling sensation. It wasn’t unpleasant, just a little odd. Then it started to itch, and I attempted to relieve it, scratching like mad. I was concerned when I touched my skin and felt lumps beneath it. These lumps started to move. What the hell was this? Maybe I hadn’t survived the ritual intact and I was going to be deformed. I bent double when the sensation of my skin tearing took hold. The most surprising thing was that it didn’t hurt. Surely it should if my skin was tearing.

I stood upright, and the sight which met my eyes in the mirror caused me to gasp with wonder. Wings. I had wings. I focused on stretching them out and let out a little cry of pleasure. The feathers were the colour of my hair. A rich auburn shade. They moved silently, causing little gusts of wind around me. My cry of pleasure turned to laughter. It was such a joy to know that I’d be able to take flight and fly in the sky with my mates.

“Luca! Salvatore!” I cried out loudly.

Within a nanosecond, they entered the bathroom. I turned to face them. The expressions of astonishment in their eyes was enough. They studied me as though I was one of the great wonders of the world. I flapped my wings a little more and realised I’d risen above the bathroom floor. I laughed loudly as my tears of joy fell freely.

“Wings. I have the most beautiful wings,” I called out loudly.

“Oh, Angelina, you are so beautiful,” Salvatore exclaimed with wonder.

“She is, brother. You are the most stunning mate any Hybrid could wish for.”

Their admissions burned me to my soul. I continued to hover until I realised something… I didn’t know how to get back down onto the floor.

“Um, I have a problem, guys.”

“What?” they asked.

“How do I get down from here?”

At my admission, they laughed loudly.

“Not funny. Now,” I said, placing my hands on my hips, which felt weird as I floated above the ground, “unless you want to go for a couple of centuries without any sexual activity, I suggest you help your mate down.”

Luca

Seeing Angelina with her wings and gloriously naked body was the most breath-taking sight, ever. Her skin glowed and her eyes were alive with a mixture of awe and wonder. The deep blush on her cheeks completed her flawlessness. The anxiety of watching her endure the change dissipated, to be taken over by a love so strong it almost brought me to my knees. Sal didn’t utter a word, not even via telepathy. Our mate had us spellbound, and I realised we would always be like this around her.

“Well, are you going to tell me how I get down from here, or just stand and gawk at me?”

The impatience of her words was such a turn on.

“Perhaps we should bring her down and teach her a lesson.” Sal raised his brows in question.

A chuckle rumbled up from my chest. “Another time. How would you like to fly around our home, bella?”

A small shriek of pleasure slipped from her. “Oh, God, yes! But I still need to know how to get down.”

Sal laughed. “But you look so gorgeous hanging around mid-air naked.”

“Come on, don’t be mean. I meant what I said about withholding sexual privileges from you.” Although she attempted to be serious, there was laughter in her voice.

“It’s easier to show you.” Sal and I lifted off the floor and hovered either side of her. It was a good thing the bathroom was massive, or it would have been a little crowded with all our wings unfurled together. “Tip your wings slightly forward and down, like so.”

She copied our movements and landed back on the ground. Her wings disappeared back inside her, and she gifted us with a searing kiss in turn. Angelina appeared more comfortable being naked around us now. The sight of her full breasts and the scent of her made me want her.

“And me too,” Sal chimed in.

“You two are insatiable and you’re not even attempting to speak via telepathy.”

We surrounded her, kissing, and caressing her until she whimpered.

“Only around you,” I murmured against her full lips.

She strode into the bedroom and opened the window, sitting on the window ledge.

“Are you sure you wouldn’t rather go back to bed?” Sal asked with a glint in his eye.

She shook her head. “Nope. I want to fly. Oh…”

Sal and I knew what concerned her.

“You won’t feel the cold. Now you are a full Hybrid, your body temperature will regulate itself. Also, we can show you how to render yourself invisible to the outside world.”

She tapped at her lower lip, deep in thought. “There is one major concern.”

“What?” we asked her together.

“If I have to use my wings when there’s danger, or at a moment’s notice, I don’t want my boobs on show.”

“We have a solution for that, too.”

She glanced at me in confusion. “How?”

“There are garments specially made for the females of our race, which come apart to allow the wings to break free without ruining your clothes.”

“Then why don’t the men wear them?” She clicked her fingers before continuing. “Oh, I know why... you like to flex your muscles and show off your six-packs. Typical males.”

Sal and I rubbed our bodies against hers, understanding this would arouse her. Hell, it aroused us too. We kissed her neck and caressed her bare skin while she sat at the open window. She moaned. We thought we’d won and she’d go back to bed. What surprised us both was the fact she allowed herself to fall out into the night sky. A loud whoop emanated from her as she flew high into the air.

“Catch me if you can,” she hollered.

“Luca.” Sal clapped me on the shoulder. “We’d better go after her because she doesn’t know how to render herself invisible yet. I don’t think either of us wants to face the consequences if anyone sees a naked woman with wings flying through the air.

I roared with laughter. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”

Before we followed our little minx, I held back.

Sal studied my face. “Luca?”

“Sorry, just needed to process the fact that she’s finally ours. It… it’s overwhelming, isn’t it?”

“It really is. Angelina is going to make a wonderful mate and even more amazing Hybrid. Now, come on, before she causes mayhem out here.”

“Just so you know, I can hear everything you’re saying. I love you both so much that I have no words to express my emotions. So, come on. Let’s go fly.”

“Man,” Sal called out as we flew through the window. “We’re going to have to be so careful from now on.”

I laughed in response to his declaration.

“Oh yes, you really are,” she teased us.
