Micah (The Corsetti Empire)
Chapter Nine
“NowhowamI supposed to get through dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Morales with you dressed like this?” Micah said as he came up behind Izzy, pulling her to him. “What, this old thing?” she said as she pressed her ass into his hardening cock and leaned over the bathroom sink to apply lipstick.
Micah had concerns over sharing living space with a woman, but Izzy made the process seamless. He noticed at first she would sleep with him but get up in the morning and head back into the guest room to get ready for the day. Then one morning she came back in after her shower, hunting down a pair of shoes she had taken off the night before. Slowly but surely, more of her items began appearing in his bedroom and bathroom. He had to admit he was starting to like it. Micah loved getting back from the gym and finding the bedroom, smelling of her perfume, or the scent of her in his sheets. He had feasted on her thoroughly before they showered together in his bathroom and now she finished getting dressed with him. There was something intimate about the small gestures between them he enjoyed. He had a lot of women in his life over the years, but every time he and Izzy experienced something like what they had done tonight, he’d find himself jealous that one day he would have to give this up. The advice from her mother about valuing the little things haunted him. The thought that she would someday share these moments with someone else hurt more than he expected.
“You are evil and you know it.”
“I thought I was you good girl?” she said, turning in his hold and reaching her arms up around his neck.
“You are my good girl, but tonight you are evil. You’re lucky my biggest kink is a desire to mark your body and chase you down the beach at night. Fuck, I’d give anything to feel your body trapped under mine when I catch you.”
“Chase me?”
“Hmmm... yes. I would give anything to watch you run from me in the dark.”
Micah felt a shiver run through her as he whispered the words in her ear. Her grip on him tightened, and he hoped it was in equal parts fear and excitement.
“You would to that?” her voice cracked as she took a deep breath.
“Only if you’d let me.”
“But where? How could you... I mean, what if we got caught?”
“There are plenty of things money can buy, Iz. I’d make sure no one found us.”
She pulled back and looked up at him. “I want to do that Micah, I want you to chase me.”
Isabel Diaz was a dream come true. His lips crushed into hers with no regard to the fact he was destroying the bright red lipstick she had just perfected. The woman in his arms was everything he ever wanted in the world. He was going to spend every moment he had with her, showing her how much he appreciated her.
The car service was right on time. If it wasn’t for Isabel, Micah would be late for everything. Not because it took him long to get ready, but because he just had no genuine regard for time. It was a terrible character flaw and no matter how hard he tried, he always ended up getting distracted. Tonight’s distractions were all about the woman on his arm. Isabel was dressed in a skintight red dress that showed off her ample ass and he couldn’t keep his eyes or hands off it. She was absolutely stunning.
“Oh, I remember being young and in love, don’t you, sweetie?” Mr. Morales’s voice garnered his attention as he was whispering in Isabel’s ear all the naughty things he wanted to do to her when they got home.
“Of course I remember, it wasn’t that long ago.”
“You’re sixty-two... it was that long ago.”
Micah watched as Isabel volleyed conversation between the Morales and their friends who came to dinner. The couple were a client of one of Micah’s biggest competitors. The same competitor that he was pulling the Morales’ business from. It had taken years of wining and dining them, but finally they had enough with the delay’s in communication from LTGD Financial. The issue with a large firm like theirs was that they had gotten too big for their clientele. Micah had been slowly moving multiple clients from them to his book of business, but the Morales’ estate was by far the largest.
“Isabel, tell me about your family. We dug up most of Micah’s demons long ago when we considered working with the firm, but we don’t know much about you. Do you have family here in Miami?”
“I do, I live with my mother... I mean, lived with her until I moved in with Micah. A lot of my cousins and extended family live here, too.”
“And your father?” Mr. Morales asked.
“He died from cancer when I was young.”
“Terrible thing that cancer is, we have lost so many friends to it over the years.”
“That seems like something we all have in common,” she said, giving Micah a knowing glance.
“Yes, well, let’s drink to a long and healthy life.”
They all raised glasses and spent the rest of the night getting to know one another. As much as Micah wanted to talk business, Isabel would redirect the conversation. He knew she was keeping him in line, as she always did. Business shouldn’t be discussed at a social invitation, and this was definitely that. The night had gone flawlessly, and as they said their goodbyes in front of the valet, he had no reason to believe the rest of the night wouldn’t work out in his favor. Well, that was until the valet handed him his keys and when he went to take them, he saw the flash of a camera.
It started with one, and then a cascade of lights began nearly blinding both him and Izzy shot off in their direction as the paparazzi turned on them like a small mob.
“Micah, tell us about the new lady? We heard this one is a keeper!”
