Whispered Promises

Brie was terrified but stilled the whimpers that threatened to escape, not wanting to give Holloway the satisfaction. She watched in disgust as he settled down in a chair just a few feet away from her and said with a glint in his eye, “You won’t be the same after they’ve finished with you, Miss Bennett. I’ve instructed them not to hold back.”

The other two men surrounded her, grunting in anticipation as they ripped off their shirts and glowered at her.

Brie closed her eyes tightly and silently cried out for Sir.

Although she wanted to be brave, tears rolled down her cheeks despite her best efforts to hold them back. The moment Holloway saw them, he chortled in delight. “I can’t wait for the sweet sound of your cries for mercy, Miss Bennett. But there will be no mercy for you…”

“I’ll keep her still,” the man holding her down with his boot told the others.

To Brie, he commanded, “Open your eyes.”

When she refused, he ground his boot against her cheek. The excruciating pain made it feel like her cheekbone was about to give under the weight.

She opened her eyes to find him staring down at her. His dark eyes drilled into her when he stated, “I’ll make sure you can’t move. Then, after the others are finished, I’ll introduce you to my own style of ‘play’.”

When she felt someone tugging on her clothes, she started screaming, “No!” at the top of her lungs. But her desperate cries were only met with their low laughter.

She realized there would be no escape from this…

Brie held on to her love for Thane and her two babies, trying to block everything else out while her clothes were methodically ripped from her body. It took a moment for her brain to register the far-off sound.

She opened her eyes to see that all three men were frozen in fear.

Holding her breath, Brie felt a flood of relief when she recognized the shrill sound of sirens in the distance.

“Are they coming for us?” one of the men asked Holloway, sounding agitated.

Holloway shook his head and scoffed. “They’re headed in the other direction, you idiot.”

The man covered in tattoos growled. “No, they’re not. The sirens are coming closer.”

All three men looked at each other.

“I’m not going back to jail, fucker!” the other man barked at Holloway.

Keeping his boot firmly on her cheek, the man holding Brie down growled fiercely, “You promised no one would know we were here.”

“Nobody does!” Holloway insisted.

Pointing in the direction of the sirens, he snarled, “It doesn’t sound like it to me. I’m out!”

Lifting his boot from Brie’s face, he headed to the exit with the other two following behind him.

“You can’t leave!” Holloway shouted. “This bitch needs to be punished!”

The tatted man turned back and growled, “Then do it yourself, you fat fuck.”

Brie took advantage of their exchange and scooted as far away from Holloway as she could. Not caring that she was completely naked, Brie stood up and sprinted toward the exit door.

Holloway called out to her in a voice as cold as ice, “If you go out that door, I will kill Mary.”

Brie stopped in her tracks, knowing with certainty that he would.

With her heart breaking, she turned away from her freedom to face him. “Don’t you dare hurt her.”

The kid in the ticket booth burst into the theatre, his voice cracking when he screamed at Holloway, “The cops are heading this way! Follow me, I know a way out.”

Holloway grabbed Brie’s arm and followed the boy. He led them to the front of the stage and opened a hidden panel. “This tunnel goes underneath the theatre. If you take the first turn to the left, it will lead you straight to the Spielberg Theatre. They won’t be looking for you there.”
