Whispered Promises

Faelan slipped off his shoes and socks, so he was left wearing only his dress pants. He still looked thin, his body reflecting the ravages of his grief, but he remained handsome with his blond hair and that easy grin.

Soon, however, his grin faltered, and Brie immediately picked up on his uneasiness. He chuckled uncomfortably, explaining. “This is the first time since…”

Brie looked at him with compassion. “We’ll help each other through our scene.”

He nodded, taking control again. “Lie with me, blossom.”

Brie lay down on the floor beside Faelan. The smell of him was familiar and comforting.

Picking up the large feather, he asked, “Do you consent?”

She purred, drawn to its fluffy whiteness. “I do.”

“Let’s begin with your eyes open. Stay still.”

Brie nodded and didn’t move as Faelan guided the feather over her skin. The light touch of the feather caused her nipples to harden. It was exquisitely ticklish, making it difficult to remain still.

Faelan’s grin returned. He knew the playful torment he was causing. When he felt she was ready, he commanded, “Now, I want you to close your eyes.”

Brie readily obeyed, remembering how different the feather felt when she couldn’t see it. It was as if the simple feather became an entirely new instrument.

She smiled when he ran it down the valley between her breasts and tickled her stomach. It felt like hundreds of light touches teasing her skin all at the same time.

“You like that, blossom,” he stated confidently.

She giggled. “I do, Faelan.”

“Good.” He took his time, teasing her body with the feather from the tip of her nose down to the sensitive underside of her toes.

Sensing she was enjoying it, he upped the challenge. Putting down the feather, he ordered, “Open your eyes.”

Faelan held up a purple blindfold. “Do you consent?”

Her heart began to race when she saw the blindfold. “Yes.”

“I want you to crave it, not fear it,” he told her. “Therefore, I am going to begin by simply laying it over your eyes. Call out your safeword if it becomes too much.”

Brie was astounded by Faelan’s thoughtfulness. She had feared the moment he secured it behind her head. But Faelan was just as gentle with his re-introduction of the blindfold as he had been during their first encounter.

She smiled up at him. “Thank you, Faelan.”

“My pleasure, blossom.”

The instant Faelan laid the blindfold over her eyes, she smelled the scent of lavender. “I remember this…” she whispered, recalling the original blindfold.

“Lavender has the power to soothe the soul,” he murmured huskily.

While she breathed in the calming scent, Faelan glided the feather over her skin. Her sensitivity to its touch now heightened, she began to crave the feel of it.

He grazed the feather along the swell of her hip. The tingling trail it left behind made her shiver in delight. Brie was able to lose herself in the simple stimulation, excited that she had experienced zero triggers.

When she felt ready, she told him, “I’d like you to secure the blindfold now.”

Faelan removed the blindfold and smiled down at her. “Whatever happens next, I am proud of your courageous spirit, blossom.”

Brie sat up so he could properly secure it. As soon as he tied it behind her head, she felt her anxiety begin to rise.

“Color?” he asked.
