Her eyes widened in surprise. Could Ronin be right?

Ronin’s eyebrow rose, and he muted the phone. “What do you think? I guessed right. Will you give him another chance?”

“You’re both hurting, honey, and you’re the only one who can make it better.”

Her shoulders drooped, and she looked out the window. “Tell him you’re bringing me back.”

“Good girl.” He took the phone off mute. “She is coming home. I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
