“His omission.”
“Whatever you want to call it, we need some answers.”
Trent took the photos back from Amanda. “Why not start with Seth Rossi? I know we need to cut him loose, but he might have some insight to provide on the nanny.”
“Short of talking to the woman herself, he might be the closest we come to finding out the truth.” She turned to go back into the room, glanced over a shoulder. “You can join us if you’d like.”
Trent did. Seth looked up at him, at the photos in his hand. “What’s going on?”
She sat down across from him while Trent remained standing. “What can you tell us about the nanny? You said her name was Tina Nash?”
“Yeah, like I told you, she was nice enough, qualified, and I trusted her with my son. Just figured it was best that he be with his actual parents.”
There was an unmistakable bitterness toward Tony, but that could be understood. “Do you know what her relationship with Alicia was like?”
“They got along fine as far as I know.”
Not exactly an expression to bank on, but they had no further right to detain him. She scooped up the folder and stood. “You’re free to go.”
“I’m… You’re letting me go?”
“Yes. Thank you for your cooperation.”
“Not that I had much choice,” he mumbled and left.
