Riley (Shattered Souls MC 4)
The urge to kiss her and fuck her is overwhelming, so I stand up.
She slides on her shorts and looks up at me. “You’re going to talk to him aren’t you?”
I nod, wiping my nose and mouth. “I am.”
“You’ll text me?”
“No, I’ll be back. I broke my phone, but even if I didn’t, he probably has them tapped anyway. Do not use your phone. I’ll get you a burner phone,” I say.
“Please be careful,” she says, grabbing her cigarettes.
“Always, baby girl.”
I leave with a renewed sense of things. I’m gonna fight for her and I’m gonna fucking win. I’ll get rid of this agent and prove to her that she belongs to me. My head is clear and my heart is pumping. I can do this.
I pull behind the abandoned warehouses and I’m not surprised to see agent cocksucker is here waiting. I climb off my bike as he gets out of his car.
“Well?”
I nod and lean against his car. “I need more time.”
He shakes his head and smiles. “Time is not something I can offer you. Your time is ticking, Mr. Giddens.”
“And what happens when my time is up?”
“You’ll lose everything,” he says, nonchalantly.
“I’ve done everything you asked me to do. You’re now asking me to involve Gillian and I need to make sure that she suffers no consequences because of that,” I say, lighting a cigarette.
“Tell me something, Mr. Giddens.” He smiles and I lift my eyebrows. “If you had to choose between your club and your girl wh
ich one would you save?”
What. The. Fuck?

I push off his car and stand in front of him. “What the fuck are you saying?”
“Everyday people need to make choices. Some are easy, some are difficult, and some are impossible. I’m asking you if you had to choose your club or your girl, which are you gonna be man enough to try and save?” he asks, raising a brow.
My pulse races and my jaw ticks with anger. This mother fucker is about to blow up my fucking world. It’s wrapping around me like a vice.
“Get to the fucking point,” I growl, clenching my fists at my side.
“The Vegas Kings,” he says.
My brows dip and I step back. “What about them?”
They were a club all about drugs that tried to steal our strip club idea. A club that was at one time our greatest enemy. Harper’s father was the president and she at one time was a huge part of that club. Zane fought a bloody battle, we all did, for the love of his life. A lot of lives were lost and changed forever. What they have to do with any of this seems ridiculous since they’ve been gone for a while now.
“Here’s the thing, Mr. Giddens. I need Gillian’s help and it would serve you both well to give me that help. It will make things easier for you both, trust me,” he says.
I laugh and clench my fists tighter. “I don’t trust anyone.”
