Cygny's Six

It seemedlike forever since he’d begun moving when he collapsed against the wall beside the door. All the air that he’d managed to suck into his body rushed right out in a cloud of white in front of his face.

He reached out and dropped his hand on the doorknob. The effort to do it left him shaking.

Or was that the cold that felt like it had seeped into his bones.

He shook so hard that he lost hold of the doorknob. And wondered. If he might shake himself apart before he could be of any help to Cygny.

Turning slightly, he got a better hold of the knob and with an indrawn breath, he twisted his hand.

And the door opened.
