“He will do nothing,” Dominic said, getting to his feet. “Except clean this fucking mess up.”

Dominic took me by the arm and hauled me away from our table. The moment we were away from everyone, he slammed me against a brick wall. I cried out as he grabbed my face and squeezed it.

“What the hell was that?” he demanded.

“He was being an asshole.”

“And you were no better,” he snapped back. “I’m getting tired of your temper tantrums, Bianca.”

I swallowed as I stared up at him.

“It hurt,” I whispered.

He released my face and let out a sigh before he ran his fingers through my hair. “I know. But you need to understand displays like that threaten us. We deal with our differences behind closed doors. Not in front of the entire student body. We can't appear as if we have any issues between any of us. It makes us look weak. We’re not in a position to look weak, wasp.”

“I’m sorry,” I breathed out.

“I know it hurts, but you did this. You need to learn to live with the consequences.”

I swallowed and stared straight ahead.

“Look at me when I speak to you,” he said softly.

I shifted my gaze to his.

“You’re beautiful, and I love your fierceness.”

“Then why do you try to hold me back?”

He ran his knuckles along my jaw. “It won’t always be like that. Just for now.”

I nodded. My jaw clenched as I looked at a spot over his shoulder.

“Look at me,” he commanded again.

I did, noting the glint in his green eyes.

“Sei tutto il mio mondo,” he murmured. “Always, Bianca.”

I crinkled my brows, unsure of what he said. But his tone was incredibly sweet and reverent.

“And someday I’ll let you sting. For now, please listen to what I tell you. You’re my good girl, right?”

“Yes,” I said.

“Yes, what?”

“Yes, husband,” I rasped.

He smiled and placed a kiss on my lips. “Mm, my very good girl. Come.”

I had no idea where he wanted to go. But I was grateful when I put my hand in his, and he led me further from the courtyard.

He smirked at me as we walked. My heart jumped as I smiled back at him.

God, he was the perfect monster.

But so was Levin. And he wasn’t mine anymore. Hell, maybe he never was.
