Breaking Her (Savage Brothers Second Generation 4)
“This is the nursery, right?” she asks as we walk through the different framed areas.
“Yeah. It’s a-t-t-t-tached to our room, but the other bedrooms are far away from ours.” I pull her into my arms and begin nibbling on the side of her neck. “That way I can fuck their m-m-m-momma the way I like and she c-can be as loud as she w-w-wants.”
“So you’re saying you thought of everything,” she giggles, stretching her neck to give me better access.
“I have…” I admit. Then, I slowly bend down on one knee, while taking the ring box out of my pocket. “Marry me, Lyla.” I open the box, revealing the diamond engagement ring I bought the very first day I got out of the hospital. I got my dad to go with me—because technically, I wasn’t supposed to be driving. I told Lyla I just wanted some time with my dad before they left and that was partially true—but obviously not completely.
I watch as she covers her mouth with her hand and tears begin building in the corners of her beautiful eyes.
“S-say yes, S-s-sunflower.”
“Yes!” she cries, her body vibrating as I put the ring on her finger. I kiss it and look up at her. She’s smiling down at me.
“I really want to kiss you right now, Thomas, but I’m as big as this house you’re having built for us and I can’t.”
“Babe,” I laugh getting up and taking her in my arms.
“I do love it when you call me babe,” she whispers.
I walk her into the bedroom—which is the one place the walls have not only been framed but are finished. The wiring was completed yesterday throughout the house. I have a mattress on the floor with battery operated lights strung up—although I didn’t do it. Jazz is the one that did all of that. I was worried Lyla might not like it, but when we get in the room, the surprise on her face makes everything completely perfect.
“Thomas, what in the world?” she whispers, looking up at me.
“I’m going to m-make love to my soon-to-be wife in our n-n-new b-b-bedroom.”
“Sweetheart, as great as that sounds, you’re forgetting that I can’t get down there,” she laughs, her cheeks filling with color.
“You can get down and I promise you I can get you back up.”
Her eyes grow round as she looks at me and realizes I’m serious. “Thomas,” she says, nerves bleeding through in her voice. “You know I love you. It’s just… sweetheart, I’m so big now. I just…” She looks at me and she seems a little lost. “I’m not exactly desirable right now.”
Christ. My woman has no idea how gorgeous she is, or how much I constantly need her.
I cup the side of her face and apply enough pressure that she’s forced to look at me. “Lyla, you are the m-most beautiful woman in the world t-t-to me. I constantly want you, woman.”
“But Thomas…”
“Tonight will be the first time we’ve made love since I’ve been in the hospital. If you think I don’t want you with everything in me, you’re crazy. I need you.”
“But it’s not like I can maneuver really well. I mean—”
I kiss her to stop her from talking. When I look back, the hunger I see on her face is all the answer I truly need.
“Stop worrying, S-s-sunflower. I’ll get inventive.”
“Well, the doctor did say sex might hurry up delivery time.”
“Now we’re talking,” I growl, taking her mouth again and gently guiding us both down on the mattress.
Chapter 47
Lyla
One Month Later
I look over at Thomas holding our daughter while his mother and father are beside him. We’re in our new house. I’m afraid to ask Thomas what it cost at this point. He pulled out all stops so that when I got out of the hospital, we’d be going to our new home. It’s probably a great thing that Thomas has become the most requested mechanic and bike builder in the garage that the club owns. Heck, even Dad is impressed with him. He lets Thomas work on his bike—something that he never ever would have done in the past. For as long as I can remember no one touched Dad’s bike but him. I told Thomas that, but I don’t think he truly believes me. He still has trouble seeing his worth. Eventually though, I’m going to get it through his big head that he’s amazing—or at least I’m never going to stop trying.
Our daughter—Tamsin Nicole West—is the apple of her daddy’s eye and has been since the day she was born. The delivery went fairly well, but Thomas still insisted on pampering me while I recovered for a few days. He practically did all the diaper changing and even brought Tamsin to our bed when it was time to breastfeed. That’s become our new thing, actually. He loves holding me while I feed our daughter. It’s become one of the most special moments that we share together and I commit each one to memory because each time we do it, it feels like we’re in the middle of a miracle. Which, honestly, that’s what our beautiful daughter is… a miracle.
