Claiming the Biker (Royal Bastards MC: Charleston, WV 9)

July

I had an appointment to go with Hazel to get my hair done this morning. We hang out a lot because everyone else is basically pregnant and doing the whole mom thing. Hazel isn’t in a hurry to make babies anytime soon and she feels like an outsider because she’s basically the new girl of the Ol’ Ladies and things have been strained with her and Holy. She was raped and he was forced to watch at gun point. It’s something she’s been working her way through. They both have.

We don’t talk about it much, but she knows I’m here. She’s actually really cool and has great taste in clothes. Plus, she’s a great listener who doesn’t judge me for what I’m doing with Justice.

Before she got back with Holy, Hazel wasn’t exactly innocent herself. This chick was working as a stripper and her and another girl would basically drug guys and steal their money.

I know she hated what she did and carries a lot of guilt over that time in her life, but she’s not that person anymore.

We both need this day out. To clear our heads and not deal with any drama.

Last summer I had an undercut that I loved and wanted to get it again. Raegan did a kick ass job and styled my hair into intricate braids that will look kick ass with the dress I bought for my date with Justice this weekend.

Hazel had her hair trimmed to get rid of dead ends. She was afraid if she got it any shorter Holy would hate it because he loves to yank on her ponytail.

I’ve been doing what Viking asked and going on dates with Justice when our schedules line up which hasn’t been very often. I’ve only gone one maybe five dates total with him, but he said he’s cool with us taking things slow.

He hasn’t tried to take things very far or asked to stay over or anything like that. Which I’m happy about but I’m not even sure if he even likes me or if I’m just someone for him to pass the time with. I’m not around him enough to try and poke around for information. I’m hoping that Viking will find what he needs on him on his own or come to the conclusion that there’s nothing to find.

Justice is a nice guy but every time I go on a date with him it seems like I’m cheating on Viking which doesn’t even makes sense because technically we aren’t dating. We just fuck when he decides to show up at my place because we can’t be seen together unless I go to a club event with Wylla Mae. I’ve not been getting weekends off lately so I’m not even getting to do that either.

It’s gotten to the point that I’ve signed up for a membership at Viking’s gym just so I can see him. This whole thing is ridiculous. Between my schedule, trying to date Justice, and his duties to the MC there’s never enough time or me to go around.

“You coming to the cookout?” Hazel stuffs her bags into my trunk. She just spent a ridiculous amount of money on new undergarments to seduce Holy in. There’s been a disconnect between them lately and she really wants to repair things between her and her man.

“If I can get off work. I don’t know though. Viking will be there, and it will be hard to see him and not be able to touch him how I want to. All this sneaking around is hard.”

“I’m sure you’ll find a way to sneak off with him.”

“Justice also invited me to a thing with his family which is sweet but kind of weird considering we’ve not gone on that many dates.”

“Hate to break it to you but I think this guy might be really into you and you’re going to get to a point that you might have to choose between this fake relationship and your sanity. I know you’re doing it for Viking to help the club, but you’re my friend and I want you to be happy.”

I don’t know what to do. I want to go to the cookout at the clubhouse, but I don’t want to disappoint Justice. It’s just that meeting his family is kind of a big deal and makes things more real.
