Cruel Summer
He has no one to blame but himself.
He should have dropped Winter the second he started obsessing over her. But he’d fallen right into her tap, like my brother. Even knowing that she was trying to manipulate him, he’d stared at her at the club like a love sick puppy as Maximo played with her flesh, teasing her dress line.
I see everything, even when they think I don’t.
Diamond hadn’t actually been at Oasis that night, but there’s not a doubt in my mind that Winter had expected for him to be. He hasn’t made another appearance at the club, so it would have been her only way to communicate with him.
He’ll crawl out of his little whole eventually though and when he does I’ll be ready. I won’t let him get in the way of my plans because he’s listening to his father’s bullshit version of events.
Only a handful of people know what went on at that time and half of them twisted the truth.
Vito and I didn’t discuss it for years but when it was time to enlighten him on my plans for Winter we had to dive back into the past, into our sinners.
Sighing, I pull my car to a stop. Seven Quad and Winter aren’t the only people I have plans for and I need to make sure I don’t get tunnel vision.
There’s too many people I need in my sight right now: The Rossi Family, Iron Skull MC, The Damones…
A shadow approaches my car and I pop the unlock button.
The door opens and an overwhelming, flowery perfume enters my car. Red hair flies as she plops down into the passenger seat, slamming the door behind her.
Her engagement ring is still on her finger, big and shiny. A smile takes over her face as she looks up at me.
“Sienna.”
