Nick’s reaction encouraged her to continue. Her body begged for his touch. She closed her eyes imagining his hands moving over her body.

Kalilah rubbed her clit, threw her head back at the pleasure, and moaned deep. She couldn’t remember being that turned on in a long time. It would not take her long to finish.

“Mmm…my clit is so sensitive. It won’t be long.” His breathing increased. It wouldn’t be much longer for him either.

“Baby, I…ohhh!”

His orgasm took over before he could speak. He moaned helplessly as his pleasure overtook his body. That was all Kalilah needed to be pushed over the edge. Her body shook and contracted as she succumbed to her own pleasure. Kalilah’s breathing was returning to normal. Her body still ached for more.

“Wow...” Nick laughed self-consciously. “That is not how I expected my morning to begin, though I’m not complaining.”

Kalilah stretched and looked at her display. 9:06 AM.

“Good, happy Saturday, Nick. I have to run. My sister will be here at ten to pick me up. We have a brunch date since I cancelled happy hour yesterday.”

Nick sighed. “I’ll skip the breakfast invitation for today. I guess I’ll find something else to do. Lunch?”

Kalilah shook her head. “No can do. Gotta car shop with my Dad. My Saturday is suddenly booked. I had such high hopes to spend quality time with my bed.”

“Kalilah.” Nick warned. “My heartrate just returned to normal.”

Kalilah rolled her eyes. “Not what I meant, Nick.” She said between chuckles. “Besides, you do have plans tonight. My house 8 PM. Take-out and movie night. Dress comfortably. Later, Nick.”

She put her phone back on the charger and headed towards the shower. She was certain they wouldn’t have sex that night, but she could at least get some contact. Kalilah looked forward to finding out what kind of kisser he was. She whistled while she took her shower.

Chapter 7

K alilah was dressed and ready at exactly 10 AM. She’d opted for a mix of style and comfort since she had to car shop today. She chose a navy romper short set and some silver strappy sandals with silver accessories. She applied even less make up than she wore for work and put her hair in a top bun. Kalilah put in her dangly, silver earrings and studied herself in the mirror.

She let out a long sigh. Irrationally, she hated car shopping although she’d never had to do it. Furthermore, she wouldn’t have a reason to be up under Nick in the mornings. Of course, she wanted her freedom back. She’d caught herself preparing to go somewhere many times throughout the week before she remembered her car was gone.

Kalilah’s stomach growled, and she patted it. Her sister honked, and she was happy she didn’t have to wait too long. The time gods were on Kalilah’s side because they were seated at the brunch buffet in less than an hour. Kalilah tore into her omelet and moaned.

“This is sooooo good!”

Cayla Wright never missed a beat; her hazel eyes were currently trying to see into Kalilah’s soul. Cayla’s looks were closer to their dad’s Creole Cajun side. Her skin was fairer like Paula Patton, while Kalilah was warmer brown like Kerry Washington, but their skin and eye color are where their differences ended.

Kalilah’s little sister always stayed with the current fashions and never left the house looking anything less than flawless. They shared similar heights, shoe sizes, and shapes which made borrowing all the designer stuff Kalilah was too frugal to buy a breeze. Cayla’s life motto was “Treat yourself”, and that is exactly what she did every chance she got.

“Things are that good with the white boy, huh?”

Kalilah rolled her eyes and sipped her Bellini.

“Girl. His name is Nick. What makes you think anything changed?”

It was Cayla’s turn to roll her eyes. “Well, let’s review. First, he was a guy you’ve been wondering about. Then, he was the world’s biggest asshole. The very next day, he’s giving you a ride to work. Then, he’d apologized, so he was okay. Now, you’re all smiles and closed mouth.” Cayla leaned in. “Dish, girl. How was it? You slut. Was it worth all of the drama?”

Kalilah help up both hands in surrender. “Calm down. We haven’t had sex.”

Cayla looked skeptical. “So, you two haven’t done anything? You don’t just cancel happy hour for no reason. I’m not buying it. Spill, or I’m leaving you here.”

Kalilah gave in. “I spoke to him this morning.”

“And?” Cayla was always impatient

Kalilah blushed and told her about her morning call. “He is coming over tonight, but I doubt we’ll have sex.”

Cayla leaned in like a reporter getting a big scoop. “Why not? Are you on your period? How is it possible to have phone sex, very high school by the way, and not have plans to close the deal tonight?” Cayla held up her hand like she’d just remembered something. “Hold that thought. What happened at dinner last night? I’m missing something. What are you leaving out?”
