“Hot damn, Kit. You have on your va-va-voom outfit.” He clutched his chest dramatically. “How am I supposed to concentrate on scoring tonight when every time I look at you, I’ll be sad about how I lost you to Sullivan? Knew I should have made a move first.”

“Tack’s coming tonight,” Kit said.

Liam sobered. “I’ll be polite, but don’t expect anything else.”

“Is it really that tiny, Liam?” Kit fluttered his eyelashes at him.

“It’s big enough to get the work done.” Liam scowled. “Tell him, Sullivan. I’ve got a nice dick.”

“It’s okay, I guess.”

“Don’t make me take it out right now.” Liam folded his arms. “The only reason I won’t is that I don’t want Kit to leave you for me when he sees how humongous it is. Don’t think I’m unaware that you’re a size queen too, Kit. I see that silly smile on your face often enough.”

I sighed. “No one’s showing anybody anything, and Tack’s the one interested in your size, Liam, not Kit.” I dug my keys out of my pocket, took Kit’s hand, and placed the keys on his palm.

“What’s this?” Kit held out his hand as if he’d never seen a key.

“Well, since you have your license now, I figure you would want to drive.”

Liam was shaking his head. As if that weren’t enough, he mouthed “hell no” vehemently.

“But you’d get us there so much faster.” Kit tried to push the car keys back into my hand.

“We don’t mind you driving slower, right, Liam? We were all beginners at some point.”

Liam laughed uneasily. “Maybe Kit has a point. The sooner we get to the club so I can get my drink, the better. Just drive the damn car, Sully.”

“Yeah, just drive.”

“Nope.” I opened the door to the driver’s side. “Get in.”

“But it’s your expensive car. What if I scratch it?”

“I’ll pay to have it fixed.”

“Well, I didn’t bring my license with me.”

“That’s okay. I’ll run inside for it. Just tell me where you put it.”

“Umm, I just remembered I do have it here.” He patted the little purse over his shoulder.

“Good, then there’s no reason you shouldn’t drive, is there?”

“Sully, a word with you, please,” Liam said. “I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it to the club after all.”

“I’m sure you can.”

Kit slowly got into the car, and I closed the door.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Liam hissed. “I’m not dying tonight because of some silly scheme you’ve cooked up. Just tell him you know the truth.”

“Stop being a big baby. What’s the worst that can happen?”

“Other cars drive on the road, Sullivan, and don’t forget trucks.”

“Then you’d better buckle in real tight.”

I walked around the car and got in beside Kit. For a few seconds, I thought Liam would really not get in, but the door opened, and he threw himself inside and buckled up right away.
