PROLOGUE
I’ve hadthis ring waiting for ten goddamn years.
A simple gold band. My mother’s ring. I kept it in a box at the back of a dresser drawer, waiting patiently for the day I’d earned the right to slide it on Lily’s finger.
Where it belonged.
Back then, it was a sign of my love for her. Our trust. A promise of the brighter tomorrow we could share together.
Now, that future is nothing but darkness. But I’ll take it from her, all the same.
I’ll take everything she has. And more.
This ring will be a testament to her betrayal. Binding her to me, like her web of lies.
I thought I’d love her forever. Now I’ll hate her until the day I die.
My prisoner.
My wife.
She has no idea, this is just the beginning.
