"This is beautiful," he said, "but I prefer a more wooded area. I would feel too exposed here."

He felt a little bad for keeping her from any other work or clients, but he was not sorry that he was getting to spend more time with her.

"Now you’re seen everything I have that’s close to town. If you want to keep looking, you will have to move further away from Anchorage. But I have a colleague about twenty miles from here. He might have some ideas."

"That would be great." He didn't even want to admit to himself that he had been dragging this out so he could spend more time with her. He was committed to finding the right land but spending time with her was a huge perk.

"Give me a minute and I’ll make some calls."

He pulled over into a church parking lot while she made the call. He sat there, just listening to the cadence of her voice. She walked back and forth as she talked on the phone, and he watched her cute little ass move under her dressy skirt. He wanted to lift that skirt, and touch the soft space between her legs…

He adjusted himself. Now was not the time. He would ask her out. But he wouldn’t be a sleazy creep about it. He’d make sure she was somewhere she felt comfortable, and he wouldn’t put her on the spot.

She came sashaying back toward him. Her hips swayed in a mouth-watering way. His wolf growled, wanting to touch her.

Was he wrong to think maybe she was showing off a little for him?

She sat down in the passenger’s seat and crossed her legs just so . No. He wasn’t. She was definitely giving him a show.

"Good news," she said. "I’ve got more places to show you."

He was pleased, and so was his wolf. He wanted to stay in the car with her forever. This time she drove since she knew where she was going, and she talked while she drove, and he just watched her from the corner of his eye. He even liked the way her delicate hands looked on the steering wheel.

They spent a few more hours together, and finally one of the spots clicked for him. He could actually envision his pack residing on this land.

"I actually like this property." He wanted to ask her out right then and there, but once again, it didn't seem right to put her on the spot when she was out in the wilderness alone with him. But she’d spent her entire day with him, and she kept her patience, even when he’d been saying shit that frustrated her. He hoped that she'd get a big commission.

When they got back to the office, he wanted to seal the deal, in more ways than one. "Is there something I can sign?" he asked.

"Yes,'' she said. "Would you like to go ahead and put a down payment on the property, and I'll make sure it's taken off the market?"

"Yes." He needed her to know that the deal was finished before he asked her out. And he really did like the property.

"Is it done?"

"Yes."

"I’d like to take you out."

She was quiet for a moment. Then a small smile crossed her face.

"I think I'd like that."

"Tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. Does that work for you?"

"Let me check my calendar. I often show houses at night."

"I'll work around your schedule."

"I could go at 8:00," she said.

He couldn’t stop the slow smile that spread across his face. "I'll pick you up here." He kept his hands to himself, but it was a battle. His wolf howled in appreciation as he walked to his car.
