Frenzy (The Omegaborn Trilogy 1)
Over the next several hours, we maneuvered away from the main road and onto a much less traveled trail into the forest. Ivan and Wolfe led the four of us. They knew the land and they knew it well. Occasionally, they would stop and allow me to pick wild berries from bushes along the way, decadent little treats that made me squeal with delight with each sweet, juicy bite.
We made good time and the further we traveled, the more comfortable the brothers became. After journeying for several days, they declared that we’d reached the safety of their territory and would soon encounter the Thalos pack. I gulped nervously, wondering what they would be like.
During our travel, the men eventually explained why I couldn’t go back to the city and why they were suspicious of those that had attacked my team in the first place. When they did, I finally understood why they hadn’t wanted me to return. Even after hearing it all, I still didn’t completely let go of the possibility of returning to the city. I hoped one day I could go back and finish my work, liberating the people from the confines of the dome for the first time in several hundreds of years.
Over the few days we traveled, I grew to know the brothers better. They taught Alix and me how to make fire and how to read the stars and the four of us grew closer the more time we spent together.
Wolfe was a good leader, no nonsense but kind. I still felt the licks from his belt on my backside with every step and my heart warmed, embracing his marks as mine. He was strong and entirely too possessive of me, which I came to find myself enjoying very much.
Ivan was a strong alpha too, but he was more laid back than his brother. He was calm and infinitely more patient with me than Wolfe was, who had threatened to punish me on more than one occasion since the last.
The two of them were different than any man in the city though. They were more savage and wilder, grabbing me and touching me wherever they wished. In the middle of the quiet forest, they would randomly push down my pants and lick between my legs, forcing me to orgasm whenever they wished it, even if I complained or tried to deny them. Sometimes, the way they referred to me felt like I was their property, like omegas were made to be owned, fucked, and bred, which strangely turned me on at the same time.
Alix was the most protective of them all. He constantly was on the lookout for traces of others, insisting on taking watch even while the rest of us slept at night. He had always sort of watched out for me, but now with the pair bond between us, it had only strengthened. He knew me in ways that no one else knew, knew the ways of the city and how foreign a relationship between a woman and a man was to me. Now that the suppressant was long gone, he blossomed into a strong alpha and picked up whatever the brothers taught him with a swiftness that left me proud and entirely impressed.
It was almost like he was made for this.
The thought also made me sad.
Oftentimes, we walked in silence, leaving me to linger in the thoughts of the past. I wondered if I’d ever get to back to Tharia again.
