eyes darkened.
“Silly me. You didn’t think at all because you aren’t capable
of rational thought. How are you even in college? Did your
dad bribe someone to get you in?”
That was so unfair. Haley bristled, gearing up for war. She’d
graduated near the top of her high school class, and she’d
worked her ass off to get there. This was her third year of
college, and she was still working her ass off.
“You’re not a nice woman.” Haley edged closer to the door
and Claire stepped up to block it. There was no other way out.

behind those dark eyes, and that was the worst part.
