Nothing but a Fling: A Carlsbad Village Lesbian Romance
“Oh! Um…yeah. Here, let me show you,” Megan said, taking the device back and unlocking it, grateful to be distracted from what was happening between her legs. She angled the screen so Vanessa could see it.
Before Vanessa had joined her, Megan had been continuing work on a portrait she had been laboring on for the past couple of months.
“Get out of here!” Vanessa exclaimed. “This is incredible!”
Megan felt herself blushing.
“Thanks. That’s my friend Carina.”
“She’s beautiful,” Vanessa said, giving Megan a pointed look that Megan wanted to believe was jealousy. But it couldn’t be. Could it?
Megan laughed. “Very beautiful, but very straight.”
Vanessa looked around the shop. “It’s slow. Come with me!” she said, rising, taking Megan’s hand.
“What about my stuff?” Megan asked.
Vanessa approached a cute young woman sitting alone at a table not far from Megan’s.
“Amy, do you mind watching her stuff for about a minute?”
“Sure, no problem,” Amy said with a smile that was more than polite.
Vanessa then called out to Chloë, saying she’d be back in two seconds and the next thing Megan knew, she was being escorted out of La Vida Mocha.
“Where are we going?” she asked when they were outside. “And who’s Amy?”
Fuck! Why did I ask that?
Vanessa turned to her, stopping.
“Ooh, jealous little thing, aren’t you?”
Megan got nervous. The truth was, she actually had felt a little jealous. It was stupid, she knew, and totally against the rules. But, dammit, Amy was pretty and Vanessa obviously knew her…
“No,” Megan answered, somewhat defensively.
Vanessa laughed and took hold of Megan’s hips.
“Maybe I like it,” she said, holding Megan’s eyes with her own.
Megan forgot how to breathe for a moment. She had to lick her lips before being able to speak.
“Jealousy doesn’t sound like it would be one of the rules,” she whispered.
Vanessa shrugged.
“Until you leave for New York, I’m not going to mind if you keep reminding me who I belong to,” she said. She pulled Megan a little closer, and her eyes darkened. Her voice became husky when she then said, “Seriously, when we’re in bed, keep telling me who I belong to.”
Megan gulped. There were evidently layers of Vanessa that she hadn’t even begun to reveal.
“You are being so unfair!” she whined.
But Vanessa just laughed and released her.
“I know, but trust me, you wouldn’t want me tonight anyway. The first time I have a chance to get horizontal I will pass the fuck out. Imagine if I did that with your head between my legs. Anyway, Amy is a regular, that’s all. But forget about her. This is what I wanted to show you.”
Megan looked around. They hadn’t gone more than ten steps from La Vida Mocha’s door. What was she supposed to be looking at?
