Marrying an Asshole (Dirty Fuckers MC 3)
Pixie gritted his teeth, and he was ready to punch his own brother. “Then Suzy will have no choice but to head to the city, and she’s already talked about leaving, and going there.” He didn’t like the pain that pierced him because of her leaving. It was simple to him. She wasn’t ever going to leave, never ever. He didn’t care how childish he sounded, it wasn’t going to happen.
“How did you know all of this?” James asked.
“I was at her apartment. You know me. Still trying to get into her pants, and I thought being nice to her dog, she’d be more than willing to screw me.” It wasn’t a complete lie.
James smirked. “Right.”
“What are you going to do?” Cora asked.
“Well, if I don’t help, Pixie will throw one of his universally famous tantrums.”
“He’s a baby, we all get it.”
“Yeah, but we have to live with him, and believe me when I say that he will find a way of making my life a misery.” James ran fingers through his hair.
Cora and James were partners in life. They were the first couple to settle down within the club. They were different because Cora didn’t want to get married. It didn’t mean they weren’t in love. His brother and sister-in-law didn’t need the world to know they were together.
They were strong.
James got up, and Pixie followed him out of the diner.
“What’s really going on? And don’t even think of getting smart with me. I’m not in the mood. You’re acting like a girl, and what’s worse, you’re acting like an asshole, and you know I’m not in the mood to deal with your tantrums.”
Pixie pulled a packet of cigarettes out of his jacket, and took one out, lighting it up. He offered one to James, who shook his head.
“Cora doesn’t like my breath if I’m smoking, and she won’t kiss me.”
Pixie didn’t question him.
Since being with Suzy he understood everything about accommodating what their women wanted. The thought of her not kissing him would stop him from smoking as well.
“Suzy’s a great worker. She’s hard-working. She’s funny, and the guys would love her.”
“This has nothing to do with getting in her pants?”
“No.” He’d already gotten into those, but he wasn’t about to tell his brother that. “I want to help her.”
“You never help anyone.”
“Well, I’m changing now. I want to help Suzy. If I don’t, at the end of the month she’s gone. I don’t want that to happen.”
James kept on staring at him. “I’ve never seen you like this, Pixie. Not in the whole time since we’ve moved here, and certainly not before. You go through women faster than anyone at the club. I was the one who used to have to deal with your messes, remember?”
He’d always shared with his brother so that he could leave after fucking the woman senseless. In all of his life he’d never dealt with drama, and refused to even allow women to get attached to him.
The first time Pixie had seen Cora he had the same idea. It just so happened Cora had a spine, and told him to pretty much go get fucked. Not long after that he found Suzy, and the tempting little redhead wouldn’t leave him alone. Of course it had been one sided. He wanted her, not the other way around. Suzy did nothing but try to push him away.
Now there was no turning back. No pretending for him.
One time hadn’t been enough.
At first he’d thought it was because she was a virgin. Completely innocent, waiting for a guiding hand. Then his thoughts changed. It wasn’t just about being the only man she’d ever been with. He’d wanted her, couldn’t stop thinking about her. It only got more and more intense.
No other woman tempted him. He hadn’t even tried to be with other women. Sure, the club whores and the local women had tried. He had a reputation, but he simply brushed them off. For the first time in his life, he was content.
Even when he was watching a movie with Suzy, he was at peace. He was used to the restless feeling, and the need to move on. That was no longer happening to him.
“Suzy is different, okay? If she leaves then I know I’m going to have a hard time dealing with my ‘temper tantrum’, as you call it. Please, give her a job, for me. I’ll be there at the bar, or wherever you want her to work.”
