“Goddamn, Gemma…I’m so close, but I don’t wanna stop. You feel too amazing.”

“Come inside me,” she pleads. “Please.”

“You’re sure?”

“Yes.” She pants harder. “Fuck me,” she demands. “Faster.”

Leaning over until my chest covers her back, I bring my mouth to her ear. “You have any idea what you just said? I’m already losing my fucking mind.”

“Don’t stop until you do,” she says, and I can tell she’s grinning.

When she’s steady on her hands and knees, I kneel securely between her legs. The headboard is about to dent the motherfucking wall from hitting it so much. Fisting her hair, I tug her head back as I push inside, and she gasps. Grabbing her hips as she rocks into me, I pound fiercely into her, over and over. I release her hair and bend my knees. Squeezing her waist, I ram into her wet cunt deeper and faster until the build is too much, and I explode.

Grunting and groaning, I curse as the orgasm takes over. Gemma collapses on the bed, and I nearly fall on top of her but hold myself up with my elbows.

“Jesus Christ,” I choke out. “I can barely breathe after that.”

Gemma giggles as I situate myself next to her and hold her in my arms.

“You gettin’ old?” she taunts.

“Not sure I can keep up with you youngster,” I tease, brushing the hair off her cute, sweaty face. “That was…”

“Incredible,” she finishes for me.

“So incredible. And sexy. And hot. Fuck, I’m getting hard again.”

“Guess you aren’t too old then.” She smirks.

Leaning down, I cup her jaw until our mouths touch. “I love you, Gemma. We’re meant to be together. I have zero doubts about that.”

“I love you too.” She wraps an arm around me and brings us closer. “I wish I had waited longer for you. We wouldn’t be in this weird mess if I hadn’t started dating him in the first place.”

“Don’t you dare blame yourself for his behavior. Robert’s on a power trip, and we aren’t gonna let him get away with it,” I reassure her.

“I hope not.” She rests her head on my chest and snuggles into me. “So how’s having sex again after five years?” she asks with a cute chuckle.

Threading my fingers through her hair, I laugh. “Better than I could’ve ever imagined. But it’s only because it’s always felt unbelievable with you—that still hasn’t changed.”

Gemma tilts her head up and flashes a small smile. “I’d be on board with the housewife duties and stay-at-home mom gig as long as it was with the right man.”

“I’d never ask you to do that. I respect you and know how much you love working with your dad.”

“But when I picture you coming home to me, I like the idea of us spending as much time together as we can. You’d cook dinner becauseobviously…” She chuckles. “I’d give the kids a bath, and after we tucked them in, we’d snuggle on the couch with a glass of wine and talk about our day. Afterward, we’d climb into bed, make love, and then I’d fall asleep in your arms. I wouldn’t even need to dream because nothing would be better than the reality I’d be living with you.”

“You have no idea how much I wanna give that to you, baby,” I tell her sincerely, brushing the pad of my thumb over her cheek. “I never felt worthy enough for you, and it’s partly why I had to go. I needed to make something of myself so I could have that title. Didn’t quite go as planned, though.” I frown, then press a soft kiss to her forehead.

“I don’t understand why you’d ever think that. To me, you hung the damn moon, and I couldn’t care less about anything else.”

“Young and filled with insecurities, I guess. I think that happens when you grow up with no role models and wonder why your mother couldn’t stay sober long enough to be in your life.”

“Have you seen her since you’ve been home?”

I shake my head. “Nope. Don’t even care enough to find out where she lives.”

Gemma nods. “She’s the one who missed out.”

“Especially since I’m so damn loveable…” I waggle my brows, and Gemma releases the sweetest giggle.
