Don't You See

“Sleep then,” he says, covering me up. “Your family will be here when you get up,”

“I can’t believe I forgot about them,” I say sitting back up.

“Don’t worry. I didn’t. Tomorrow will be just as well. Rest up.” I lay back down and pull the covers up to my chin. Every muscle in my body hurts right now.

“Come to bed with me,” I say.

“Of course,” he says, removing the robe I didn’t realize he put on.

I snuggle into his chest and feel like I am safe at home. Protected.

When my eyes open again, the sun has long since been up. It’s gotta be close to noon. Fabrizio isn’t in bed anymore. Leisurely, I head into the bathroom and take another long, hot shower. I’ll never take a simple hot shower for granted again. When I come back out into the bedroom, I am just wrapped in a towel. Fabrizio is sitting on the edge of the bed, with a shopping bag sitting next to him.

“Good morning baby. I trust you slept well?” he asks and I nod. “Good. Your parents and sister are downstairs. My mom made you some breakfast.”

“Thank you,” I say shyly. Based on my behavior, it’s hard to believe this man spent the better part of last night deep inside of me.

“They brought you some of your clothes,” he says and I decide that there’s no reason to act this way. Boldly, I drop the towel. His eyes widen and he smirks, giving me butterflies in my stomach. Sauntering over to where he’s sitting, I lean down for a kiss. It’s perfect and makes all the little hairs on my neck stand up. Suddenly, he pulls me down to the bed and he’s on top of me. I grin and reach for him. He kisses me again and again snaking his tongue down my torso to my pussy. The tip of his tongue thrusts into me, mimicking what his dick did last night. I mewl in pleasure as an instant orgasm washes over me. I hear his belt open and his zipper come down just before the head of his cock hits my clit.

“Fabrizio, please. Don’t torture me. I need you,” I cry and before the last word is out, he slams inside of me. My back arches off of the bed and I see stars. I am still a little sore from last night, but I don’t care, it still feels amazing.

“Marry me, Fawn,” he asks, surprising me. Each thrust of his hips makes it hard for me to answer him, but I manage.

“I, uh, thought you weren’t going to ask for what’s already yours…” I reply, trailing off. He stops moving within me and looks down at me. There are what look like unshed tears in his eyes, but I know he would not like me addressing those so I keep my hands fisted in the sheets below me, though I long to brush his hair out of his eyes.

“That was before. Before you were taken away from me. Before I thought I was never going to see you again. Before I loved you like I do. Before you came back to me. Breeding you is only beginning, Fawn. Forever is only the beginning.”

“What does the end look like?” I whisper.

“You and me. In our nineties, sitting by the fire, dying within minutes of each other. Don’t you see?”

“See what?” I ask.

“See that I love you?” he says, surprising me. I knew I was falling for him, but I thought it would take him longer. Now, I do move my hand to his face, cupping his cheek.

“I love you, too. So much more than is rational.” It can’t be. It’s too soon, but it is what it is. I love this man and I don’t care how crazy it is.

“Love isn’t rational, Fawn. It just is,” he says before moving again. His thrusts are harder, longer, and faster than before and I am on the brink again in the blink of an eye.

Twenty minutes later, we are dressed and walk hand in hand to the living room. The reunion with my parents is an emotional one. Meeting his parents was not as stressful as I thought it would be.

“Gigi, how are you doing?” I ask my barely older sister. She looks so different to me now, though I just saw her at Christmas.

“I’m getting married,” she says.

“Me too.” Apparently, she had no idea I was missing. They kept her in the dark. For the first time, the secrets get you killed motto our family has wasn’t heeded, but we are together again and that’s all that matters.

Love never fails, I think remembering my CCD classes. I look around the room before I settle on my man next to me. I look to where our hands are joined and resting in his lap. My love for Fabrizio was all I needed to survive and I am more than okay with that. I know that same love is going to get me through the rest of my life.
