Brazilian's Nine Months' Notice
‘You’re impatient,’ Emma whispered, trying not to smile with pleasure at her husband’s eagerness to bed her.
‘Do you blame me?’
‘No. I love a man who’s firm and decisive.’
‘Firm you can count on. Decisive? Certainly. So, if you want more of my direction—’
‘In the bedroom only,’ she warned.
Luc shrugged. ‘I’ll settle for that for now, though anything else is up for grabs.’
‘Anything else is up for debate after I follow your direction in the bedroom,’ Emma teased. ‘And since you’ve been away such a very long time, I’ve been able to think up a few ideas of my own.’
‘I leave you alone for a couple of hours and see what happens?’ Luc exhaled a mock-weary sigh. ‘Shall we?’ he suggested, pointing to the door.
‘I think we should,’ Emma agreed as the nannies took care of the babies, and the housekeeper came to escort their guests away to the dining room where a spread had been laid out for them. But before they made it to the bedroom there was one question on her mind: ‘Who is Dante Baracca?’
‘That’s a question for another day,’ Luc informed her. Closing the door so they were alone at last, he turned to face his wife. ‘Right now I’ve only got one thing on my mind, and that is making love to my wife until she falls asleep exhausted in my arms.’
‘That’s become quite a habit around here,’ Emma observed, smiling.
‘And one I intend to maintain,’ Luc assured her as he backed her towards the bed.
