Addicted to Her Curves

“Fuck. Call her.” His cell phone had died on him a few hours ago.

Beau started to call.

Once he’d picked up a couple of stones, he aimed them for the window.

The curtain twitched.

“She’s not answering.”

“I know. Hang up.” He threw another stone. “If you don’t open the window, I’m going to end up breaking it.”

She rolled her eyes as she finally opened the window. “You shouldn’t be here.”

“I’ve told the town,” Scott said. “I told the town that you belong to us and if anyone has an issue with it then they get to deal with me and Beau.”

“Seriously? You’ve made this worse!”

“No. I’ve made it better. You’re ours, Connie.”

She shook her head. “No, I don’t belong to anyone. This was a mistake. We were fools to think we could do this and make it work. It’s over.”

“You could be pregnant,” Scott said. He’d wanted to let that little secret out slowly and to bring her around to the idea.

She didn’t shut the window. Her gaze was on him.

“Excuse me?”

“Yeah, Beau and I, we’re not exactly innocent here. We figured the town would find out eventually and well, we weren’t careful. You’re feeling sick, and it could be down to the fact we’ve been coming in your pussy without a rubber.” Scott shrugged. He sounded like an asshole and he felt like one as well.

She glared at him.

He held up the bag. “I’ve got the tests right here. You’ve just got to come and get them.”

****

They were going to lose her.

Beau couldn’t believe Scott decided to behave like a dick right now. This wasn’t the time for Scott to be like this.

Connie opened the door and stormed up to Scott. She tried to take the tests from him but Scott held them above his head. She wasn’t tall enough to grab them.

“Stop, Scott, just stop.”

“Not going to happen,” Scott said. He banded an arm around her waist and pulled her close. “We’re not going to let you go that easily. You belong to us. You’re our woman, Connie.”

“You told the entire town without consulting me? When do I get a say in the matter? What if I can’t handle this? It was stupid of all of us to think this could work. It can’t.”

“You need to take the tests,” Beau said.

“I will.”

“And we need to be there.” Beau wanted to be part of this moment with their woman.

“Are you going to take a test to see which one of you is actually the father?” Connie asked. Tears shone in her eyes.

He went to her and even as she tried to pull away, he held her tightly. “Don’t pull away. We’re going to be here for you.”

“I don’t know how you can say that. How you can both treat this like it’s okay?”

“We love you,” Beau said.

The town knew their feelings for her. It was only fair she got the chance to know them as well.

“What?” Connie asked.

“Yeah, my brain-dead friend right here told the town. It wasn’t the entire town, but by the time the news spreads, it will be. Yeah, we’re in love with you. Have been for a long time. We want you to be pregnant because we want to make this work. You, me, and Scott. All three of us together, in our own twisted world.” He laughed. “Surprise.”

“You are?” Connie asked. Her gaze went between the two of them.

“Yes,” Scott said, finally speaking up and not sounding like a dick this time. “We are in love with you. We’ve been hoping you feel the same way. We don’t want to lose you and I don’t care what the town thinks or feels. I only care about what you think.”

He held out the tests. “We want this and we both know it was wrong and we should have thought about protection every single time, but we love you.”

She took the bag from Scott.

Beau noticed her hand shook.

“Er, I think it best if you come inside,” she said. She didn’t wait for a response. She turned and made her way back inside the bar.

Beau glared at Scott. “Can you try to keep your asshole tendencies locked up?”

“It got her out here, didn’t it? The door is open.”

“Yeah, and if she’s pregnant, she’s emotional. I don’t want her coming at us with a carving knife.”

“Not going to happen.”

“You’re an asshole,” Beau said, making his way inside.

“I’m not denying it.” Scott shrugged.

They locked the doors, finding Connie in the main sitting room. She had the bag emptied on the coffee table.

“How many tests did you need to buy?”

“I didn’t know which one worked.”

“They all work.” Connie shook her head.

Beau sat with her, looking through them. “Do you see any you like?”

“No. I don’t know if I can do this,” she said. “Pregnancy, a kid, that’s permanent. There’s no getting away from that.” She took a deep breath.
