Billionaire's Secret Baby

I loved to think about the future like that. It made me feel really serene and peaceful. It gave me security and I loved knowing that we were building a family and a legacy. I hoped to become some kind of a great matriarch.

I hoped all of our hopes and dreams would turn out the way we wanted them to.

Mason and I were on our honeymoon in the Florida Keys. It was a place I ‘d always wanted to go. I wasn’t sure why, but I’d wanted to go to Florida and experience the Keys since I was a young child. And eventually I wanted to travel to Europe and Asia. Mason was on board for that as well. We hoped to accomplish this within the next two years. That was our goal.

And I was working hard on getting my album out to the masses as soon as I possibly could. Right now, I was just uploading songs as soon as I recorded and mastered them. I enjoyed this more than playing with a band. It was fun. I got to create what I wanted and I didn’t have to endure arguments about what was good and what wasn’t from the rest of the band. Being in a band was really not that much fun. It could have been but musicians typically had asinine egos and that invariably got in the way. They were all so fucking fragile.

“Fine, we will let it ride on the scorecard since I’m not sure how to change that electronically, but as long as you and I both agree that I made that other point. I got it in the higher bucket.”

I sighed. “Ok. Fine. We will give it to you. This is getting weird. You can’t be this ultra-competitive all the time. Sometimes it’s ok to just play a game with no thought to the outcome.”

“I don’t understand that. You know the man you married,” Mason said.

We grabbed our stuff and started to leave. “Ah, what do you want to do now?” I asked.

“Well, there is that play you said you wanted to see. It starts in about two hours, and there are the dinner reservations after that. I’m not sure what you want to do before then.”

“Maybe I want to keep you guessing?” I asked.

“Oh, you like to make me guess? That’s rich. Fine. I’m all yours baby. You lead the way.”

Mason slapped my ass. I glanced at him and could not keep a straight face. I started laughing. He was so damn adorable.

Married life had been fantastic and we’d only been married a week and a half. The kids were home with Mason’s parents for the past few weeks to give us plenty of time to enjoy our newlywed status. I wondered how long you could actually rock that newlywed status.

Mason followed me to the car and before we got in, he grabbed me around the waist and pulled me to him. He quickly kissed me long and deeply, pushing his lips to mine so fast I was taken completely by surprise.

“So, what do you see yourself doing for the next sixty years or so?” Mason asked.

“I’m not sure,” I said. “But I’m sure I will get there eventually. I think until then we just take it a day at a time and we do whatever we want whenever we want. How about that?”

“That sounds good to me, honey. I think the sky is the absolute limit for us.”

We got in the car Mason drove away slowly.

The future was long and it was beautiful.
