Four Kicks

“I’m starving.” I stretch my arms overhead and sigh, feeling that glorious feeling you only get from being well-fucked, and I’ve never in my life been so completely and utterly well-fucked. “What a way to work up an appetite.”

Landon grins down at me. “I’ll get some food ordered.”

After a shower, I see that room service has delivered a big basket and lunch turns out to be a picnic in our private yard, the five of us on a blanket Nathan spreads under one of the trees. Along with gourmet wrap sandwiches, we enjoy a red-skinned potato salad with fresh herbs, another salad made with freshly grilled corn, and individual strawberry shortcakes made with the flakiest biscuits I’ve ever had. There’s fresh whipped cream again, but this time we only put it on our desserts.

The food all tastes like the best thing I’ve ever eaten, but maybe that’s due to the beautiful location, the company of these four men, and the exertion of this morning’s sexathon.

When we’re nearly finished eating, Nathan asks, “So how long have you been wanting a baby and a husband? You’re still young.”

“I’m twenty-five. Not so young.” I scoop up the final two strawberries on my dish. “I’ve always known I wanted to be a mom, and recently it just hit me hard. I’m ready. And I know it will take some time to find the right person, get settled, and so on.” I shrug. “I know what I want, and I plan to make it happen.”

“It’s good to have goals,” Nathan agrees.

“What about you? What are your goals in life?” I’m responding to Nathan, but I direct my question to all of the men.

Finished with his meal, Landon leans back, legs stretched out in front of him. “We’ve been meeting goals. Started our business. Found good clients.”

“Grew the business and found more clients who had more money for bigger homes,” Derek adds.

“Next, we expand further. More projects going on at once. Build homes in more areas,” Nathan says.

I gather up some of the dishes within reach and begin to stack them. “You’re obviously crushing your business goals. What about your personal goals?”

At my question, the men all fall as silent as Ash usually is. Finally, Nathan shrugs and smiles. “That will all sort itself out.”

I can’t tell if they’ve never given much thought to the direction of their personal lives before, or if they’re perfectly content as things are. Bedding women and working. What more do they really need from life, I guess.

We laze in the shade for a while, mostly in a comfortable silence. I think Ash and Derek fall asleep. I might even drift off for a few moments myself. We all probably need to recharge after this morning.

Eventually, Landon gets up, not one to be still for long. He dives smoothly into the pool, and, as if they’ve been challenged, Nathan and Derek follow, making big, exaggerated cannonball jumps, resulting in ridiculously large splashes.

Next to me, Ash rolls onto his side and caresses my leg. “You want to go in?” His hand slides up my thigh.

I shift toward him. “Unless you have something even more fun in mind?”

“I always do, but we have plenty of time for that.”

The sun is still high in the sky. I estimate that it’s mid to late afternoon, and I love that I don’t even know what time it is. I find myself wishing our weekend getaway was a week’s vacation instead. It’s going to be hard to leave here tomorrow.

Thoughts about time remind me again that this weekend will be my one and only time with these men. I can already tell that it will be tempting to continue to get together with them, enjoying their bodies and letting them enjoy mine, but all of that would be a distraction from me getting on with my life and finding someone to love.

Not just a distraction, either, but a hindrance. Continuing to have meaningless fun with Nathan, Ash, Derek, and Landon would not exactly be the right thing to do while I’m dating other men, looking for a hubby.

I need Mr. Right, not Mr. Right Now, even if there are four of them and they all know how to make me feel amazingly good.

Eventually, Ash and I join the others. Despite how the men dove in, they’re not as rambunctious in the pool as they were last night. Instead of tossing me around and making big splashes, they swim around me, under me, beside me, our bodies gliding together in ways that both remind me of our time in the big bed this morning, and give me thoughts about what’s to come later today.

After a light snack, the five of us don’t waste any time getting back into that big, plush bed. Ash is the last one to join, and he arrives with black and red bandanas in hand. My pulse, already accelerated with anticipation, quickens further at the sight of the fabrics and thoughts of what he intends to do with them.
