After the photoshoot finished, Randy had a quick wash up in the studio’s bathroom because all that oil can be gross. I understand that it looks good under the bright lights of the camera, but real life is different of course. Then, he got dressed and we left the studio, thanking Isaac for his time.
“Of course,” the old man chuckled. “I’ll send you some proofs for fun,” he winked.
Now, my boyfriend and I are at the Sunshine Café to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Like a silly fan girl, I babbled the whole way in the car about how great a model he is, much to my boyfriend’s amusement.
We grab hot chocolates and cheesecake, and then take seats at one of the only empty tables next to the window. This place is a decent size, and it’s packed full of people, but it’s still fairly quiet and has a peaceful, cozy vibe. The floors and table are reclaimed wood, and they’ve done the walls in a bright yellow for a nice touch of cheer. It sounds overwhelming but it’s not, surprisingly, and there are paintings of kittens and coffee mugs on the wall.
“Kitschy, huh?” my boyfriend asks, eyeing a painting of one particularly coy kitten batting a ball of string. “How is Calico by the way?”
“She’s good,” I say, sipping at my hot chocolate with a smile. “She says hi, and also says she’ll never forget how you saved her life.”
Randy smirks.
“Well, let’s just say I want her owner to make it up to me. Over and over again,” he growls, waggling his brows.
“Oh you!” I giggle. “So dirty, as always.”
“Yeah, but you like it,” he growls before taking a bite of the cheesecake before us. We’ve got two slices of the heavenly stuff to share, and I dig in as well.
“OMG, this is the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my entire life!” I sigh blissfully, enjoying how the chocolate cheesecake melts on my tongue. “Total heaven.” Randy chuckles at me, staring at me with indulgent blue eyes that make my cheeks warm up. “
“Want to know the best thing that I’ve ever tasted?” he smirks and wiggles his eyebrows and I narrow my eyes at him.
“OMG, don’t start!”
He holds his hands up in defense. “Sorry, but I love how you taste between your thighs, sweetheart,” he stage whispers. “You’re pure honey, baby girl.” Then he sits back and sighs lazily. This man obviously isn’t sorry at all. He lets out a loud yawn for effect before grinning at me again. “You’re so cute, Sammie. I’m happy that you’re enjoying yourself, and thanks for coming with me to that photoshoot. I was worried it might get a little boring after a while.”
I shake my head quickly. “No, no, it was fun. Plus, you’re obviously not camera shy at all,” I smirk, winking at him. “And you were quite the exhibitionist, big guy. I was surprised.”
Randy chuckles and winks right back at me. “I was, wasn’t I? Shit, I can’t wait to get my hands on those nude photos. I mean, the fire department obviously isn’t going to use them, so I guess Isaac just took them for fun.”
I nod.
“Guess so. But I’m sure that they turned out amazing! Hey, maybe you have a career as a Playgirl model ahead of you!” I tease. “I think those guys are showing everything when they pose, but do you know if they’re hard or soft?”
Randy chuckles indulgently.
“I have no idea because I’ve never seen an issue of the magazine, but I’d imagine hard, right? I mean, who wants to be a limp biscuit for the entire world to see?”
That sets me off in giggles and we kiss right there at the café. This is sheer bliss because my handsome boyfriend adores me and we have so much fun together doing even the simplest things. He props me up, brings me along for the ride, and then indulges even my silliest endeavors. I adore Randy Sterling, but little do I know, it’s all going to come crashing down in a matter of months.
