Heading towards my office, it was a small drive away but it was exactly where I needed to be. So once I was finally sitting behind my desk with a pencil in my hand, I felt like I was ready to take this project on. With the pictures I had taken now on my desktop, I began sketching. Normally, this stage would only take a few hours. But because this was a more bigger project, I knew I would have to spend much longer than that on it. So taking my time, I prepared to make this design perfect.

As much as I had that planned, I found my mind drifting to the restaurant owner. I couldn’t help but think about how he wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Janet had made me a little worried but now that I had met him, I knew I wouldn’t have anything to worry about. He did seem a bit prideful of the place, but what could I have expected? He didn’t seem to like me suggesting things he didn’t believe in.

I was sure he was going to fight me on the design. Even if I had to convince him, I knew this was what he needed. This was my job, this was the only thing I was good at doing. I refused to let this guy be the first unsatisfied client since I began this profession.

I just hope the next time that I saw him, I would be able to keep my thoughts clear and ignore any tempting actions.

Being in the game for only a short period, I was still in the process of making a name for myself. I needed this job as a stepping stone in order to get to my ultimate goal. Rather than coming across a bigger job every now and then, I wanted something like this to just become the usual.

If I let my heart speak for my actions rather than my brain, I would be taking a few steps back.

I just needed to remind myself that Rhett was my client and not some guy I wanted to jump on and relieve myself with. Hopefully, this wouldn’t be the case where it was easier said than done.
