Her eyes light up when I say his first name, and her smile grows so big I am surprised her face didn’t crack.
“Oh you naughty girl you.” She says with a wicked grin. She sets her soda down and stops the waiter who is walking by.
“Can you grab us a couple chardonnays?” She looks back at me “We’re going to need some booze for this story.”
The waiter walks away with our order, and I try to think of a way to make this not seem so bad. “It wasn’t like that.” I huff out a breath.
Ally raises her eyebrow at me “Oh no? So you didn’t find out your boyfriend was cheating on you with that bitch that he always denied anything was going on with, and so instead of confronting said boyfriend you spewed in anger until it became too much to handle so you took it out on Brian’s sexy father by banging him all night until kingdom come.”
I cringe even harder because that is exactly what happened. She takes one look at my face and knows that is exactly what happened too.
I give in “Okay, so that is kind of what happened.”
She raises both eyebrows this time. “Kind of?”
I let out a breath. “Okay so that is exactly what happened but…” I pause for a minute trying to think of how to word this. “Let’s just say that isn’t the only time me and his dad have had more than friendly contact.”
Ally’s eyes bug out of her face. “Spill!”
“Okay! Okay! So you know the night of my birthday I told you about how I went down to Charlie’s by myself?” Ally nods. “Well, I met Dean that night.”
Ally puts her hand out as if to say continue, so I do. “We were flirting a lot, and I thought Brian and I had broken up since I didn’t hear from him. Dean bought me a couple drinks, and we were joking around about how he knew the owner of the bar and how it had its perks. One thing led to another, and we ended up in this back room where there was this old pinball machine. I was really sucking at it, so he offered to show me how to play if you know what I mean.”
I pause and Ally adds “Oh I know exactly what you mean. So what happened next?”
She is grinning so big like this is the greatest story she’s ever heard.
I feel uncomfortable telling the next part. Even though there are no secrets between me and Ally, I usually never share the exact details of my sex life unlike her.
“Well you know. All that touching led to more touching, and then suddenly I was on top of the pinball machine while we were making out.”
Ally squeals “Oh my god! That is so hot!”
I laugh again “Well, it didn’t last long because that owner he knew showed up and walked in on us.”
Ally laughs “Well of course. We couldn’t have you having hot sex with a sexy stanger in the back of a bar. That is the stuff fa
ntasies are made of. This is real life.” Ally smirks at me “Although, it does seem that fantasy came true last night huh?”
“Ugh.” I slide my hands down my face. “I don’t know what to do.”
Ally reaches across the table and grabs my hand. “Well, what happened after you banged Mr. Douglas? Did you talk about what it was?”
I cringe at Ally again “Can we not call him Mr. Douglas? You are just trying to make it sound dirty”
Ally laughs “Oh c’mon it makes it sound so much hotter that way.” She pauses and thinks a moment then gets all giddy as she asks. “Is he? Is he super hot? God. I bet he is so hot. My girl Caroline. I didn’t even know you were into older men.” She leans back in her chair and smiles at me like she is so proud. What exactly she is proud of, I am not so sure.
Then I think about her question and my thoughts go back to Dean and his sexy suits, and how he looks just as good in his sweatpants that cling to his ass.. Yeah he is hot alright, but I ignore that part of the question.
“He’s not that old. He’s only thirty five. He had Brian when he was super young or something.” I pause and Ally looks at me expectantly. I roll my eyes. “Fine. Yes. Yes he is super hot.”
Ally does a little squeal and a victory dance in her seat. Then she looks back at me.
“So that’s what this is about? You don’t want to confront Brian because then you can just keep playing house with his dad?”
“Oh my god Ally!” I say, but I smile because she isn’t wrong.
She continues “But you never answered my question. Did you talk about what happened? Was it just a hot night of passion. Were you just trying to put out that fire you started on your birthday?”
