Breaking Her (Savage Brothers Second Generation 4) - Page 59

He laughs, shaking his head, but doesn’t miss the opportunity to thrust completely inside of me. I gasp as the fullness of him stretches me once again and I groan because it just keeps getting better and better.

“You’re c-c-corny has hell, baby,” he croons, slowly moving inside of me.

“Shut up and kiss me, Thomas.”

He grins and it’s beautiful. Then I see nothing, because my eyes are closed and my man is kissing me—taking us both into heaven…

Chapter 36

Dragon

I wrap my arms around Nicole, pushing against her ass and holding her close while nibbling on the side of her neck. God, she’s still the sweetest honey, even after all this time. I love my woman.

“Dragon,” she whispers, angling her neck so I can continue teasing on the tender flesh.

I groan as I grind against her. “Give me that mouth, Mama,” I order, gently moving her around. I know her hip gave her hell last night. I massaged it half the night. It had to be bad, because my woman does everything she can to hide her pain from me. She thinks doing that will magically take away the guilt I still feel about Irish.

She’s wrong.

Nothing has and nothing ever will. It’s a burn that always smolders deep inside of me. It made me a fuck of a lot more cautious over the years and it drives me in everything I do. Hell, I know I almost drove Kayden away from me when Chains kidnapped her. She didn’t get or understand the terror inside of me when I saw what could happen to her. I still wake up having nightmares about it. Sometimes Nicole’s face interchanges with Kayden’s, and I don’t need a therapist to tell me what I’m doing. It wouldn’t change anything.

Nicole stares up at me, a spatula still in her hand. Her lips are stretched into a sweet smile, her face soft. “Dragon, I want to get breakfast ready before Thomas and Lyla get up. I want her to like me.”

“Fuck, woman. She loves you. Why wouldn’t she?”

“She doesn’t love me,” Nicole laughs. “And just because you love me, honey, doesn’t mean Lyla will. She loves Thomas. I want to make sure she knows she’s always welcome here and cared about—that she has a home here, you know?”

“Mama, you need to prepare yourself,” I tell her carefully, moving my fingers along the side of her face. “Thomas will probably move to Virginia, no matter how comfortable you make Lyla.”

“I’m not stupid, Dragon. I know that.”

My brow creases and I stop moving as I look at her. “How the fuck do you know that? You’re always the one who expects things to work out, smelling like roses and shit,” I mutter.

She laughs. “Dragon, Thomas is finally happy. He isn’t living in the shadow of his older brother and the great Detroit Dragon West anymore. He is his own man and he’s comfortable. I wouldn’t ask him to move back here and lose that. I mean, if he wanted to, sure! I’d be the first to do everything I can to make them both happy here, but it won’t.”

I raise an eyebrow and look at my woman, taking in how happy and calm she is. “You’re being very…”

“Accepting?”

“That’s one word. You gonna tell me what’s going on in that pretty little brain of yours, woman?”

“I’m thinking my man better find a way to make peace with Lyla’s father because I’m going to need to visit Virginia a lot.”

“Fuck, Nicole. The man is an asshole. He’s a bigger thorn in my side than Skull.”

“He’ll probably become an even a better ally—especially after the shit Gabby pulled. I have a feeling Skull might avoid us all for a bit while he tries to line her out.”

“Bullshit. He’ll keep catering to her. This is why I know my woman is smart as hell. She tied herself to a man—not a soft motherfucker led around by his nose.”

Nicole laughs and rolls her eyes. “Newsflash, Dragon, you don’t have much soft about you.”

“And you like me that way,” I respond with a smirk.

“Always, sweetheart,” she says, going up on her tiptoes to give me a kiss.

“You know what I keep thinking about?”

“What’s that?”

“Our first night together. I woke to find you not in the bed where you belonged. You were in the kitchen cooking then, too, and I seem to remember you holding a spatula much like this one.”

“I remember that morning…”

“I remember everything, Mama. I knew you were mine. I was never going to let you go. Still, I’m not sure I could have even dreamed how good it would be.”

“Me either.”

“Or that we would have grandkids.”

She grins. “Yeah. Did you see the pictures?” she asks.

“Pictures?”

“Yeah, Kayden texted them to me this morning and I printed them out. Look.”

She goes to the bar and I follow—my gaze dropping down to watch her ass as she walks. We get the house alone again, that ass is mine. My woman is loud and I don’t give a fuck who hears, but she would get pissy if I made her scream all night with Lyla in the house. She gave up worrying about the kids a while back. She destroyed pillows and sheets both, biting down on them to keep from being loud for me. Finally gave that shit up—thank God. She said it was too damn expensive to replace what she ruined.
