“You all really do lose your fucking minds, don’t you?” Moira shook her head and sighed heavily. “I couldn’t tell you if I wanted to. I don’t know where she is.”

“You just let her go without protection? Weren’t you the one insisting she be guarded at all times?”

“Callie’s dead. What’s there to worry about? Also, no one said she was alone.”

The mischief dancing in her eyes was enough to have me growling low in my throat. “I’ll find her myself.”

I strode across the room and grabbed the pillow off Sunday’s bed, bringing it to my nose and inhaling deeply. Her scent burst through my body, sending my cock from partially relaxed to rock-hard and throbbing. WhatevercleansingMoira had done hadn’t been enough.

Feral lust and unchecked desire to serve her hit me all at once. She’d been in this bed, wet and writhing, ready for me to help her through this like a mate should while I’d been off cooling my heels because I thought I was giving her what she wanted. In reality, it had been the exact opposite. That’s the last time I let her make the rules. This would never happen again.

Setting down her pillow, I picked up the sheets and rubbed them across my face. She’d touched herself, tried in vain to get off and ease the ache. It wouldn’t work. She needed my knot.

But then another scent caught my attention, faint, but there. Incense. Self-loathing. Spice.

“Priest,” I growled.

“Kingston...”

“No. You will not keep me from her.”

“Stop—”

Tossing down the sheet, I shoved past her. “Next time, you should probably get rid ofallthe scents in the room. Now I know exactly how to find her.”

“Motherfucker.”

“Thanks for the chat, witch. It was very... enlightening. Have fun with your girlfriend. Too bad magic can’t make your video fuck fest feel like the real thing. I’ll have Father Gallagher light a candle for you.”

“If you find him.”

I cocked a brow. “Oh, I’ll find the fucker, and I’ll make him talk.”

“If you hurt her—”

I paused at the door, snarling over my shoulder, “I wouldneverhurt her. That’s why I have to find her. I’m the only one who can ease her suffering.”

Moira’s eyes widened. “You really do love her in your own psycho macho way, don’t you?”

“She’s my mate. Of course I fucking love her.”

Her mouth dropped open as she looked at me, shock visible in her expression. Before she could say another word, I left, door hanging off the hinges, witch staring after me, focused on my one goal.

Sunday.

I trackedthe priest’s scent back to the church on the far end of the campus. Not like it had been hard to find him, I just had to follow the stench of desperation. Not bothering to knock, I threw open the doors and strode inside. The sun had just set, and I knew he’d be here, probably punishing Sunday for her wickedness. Trying to flog the heat out of her.

Rage built in my chest at the thought. He didn’t get to share this with her. It was mine to keep. Her heat was my privilege, and I wouldn’t be denied.

Father Gallagher glanced up from whatever he was reading, probably the Bible or some shit, as I stormed in. He looked like absolute hell. Dark circles under his eyes, muscles bunched with tension, jaw clenched tight.

Even he, with his celibacy and righteousness, wasn’t immune to her pull. Had he touched her? Fucked her? Tried in vain to give her what she could only get from me? I balled my hands into fists as another wave of possessive instinct crashed over me. I’d tear him limb from limb and mount the pieces on the wall if he had.

“Get out of here, Kingston.”

“Not gonna happen, Priest. You’re hiding my mate from me.”

“I’m protecting her.”
