“It’s Nick. Now, we’re good. I want to know more about my future wife. Tell me anything.”

I roll my eyes and take another drink of my coffee. Setting it back on the table, I finally respond, “I’m a college freshman with a lot of financial aid. I don’t have a job yet, but I’m sure I’ll need to find one soon. I wanted to adjust to college life before working.”

“That’s smart. Many people flunk out their first semester because of the major adjustments in their lives.”

I check my phone for the time and see that we’ve been sitting here longer than I thought. “I suppose you have a point there. Speaking of flunking out. It’s time for me to go. Are you still walking me, Mr. Williams?”

“Of course. I want to steal every minute I can with you until we’re together forever.”

“You’re insane.” I roll my eyes, but he acts like I didn’t say anything and takes my hand. Immediately, jolts of intense longing run through me. I’ve never felt anything so wonderful, and it’s merely his hand holding mine.

“See. You feel it too, don’t you, Lia?” He rubs his thumb along my skin, making me want to forget about class and go wherever he wants, but I refuse to let my pussy speak for my brain. I’ve never done it before, so I’m not doing it now.

“It’s just lust.” Frankly, it’s got to be the most intense lust possible because I’m so tempted to drop on my knees and submit to him any way he wants. It’s freaking terrifying how horny he’s making me.

“Maybe.” He says it, but I can see that he doesn’t mean it. My heart picks up its pace. This is all crazy, but I’m intrigued by him.

“You have a master’s in seduction, don’t you, Mr. Williams?”

“Nope. You bring out something in me that’s completely new, and I fucking love it.”

“I don’t trust your motives.” My heart wants to believe him, but my mind isn’t letting go of common sense so fast.

“That’s smart. You shouldn’t trust a stranger, but soon you’ll learn that I’m a man of my word. Besides, I’m not trying to seduce you. You’re mine already even if you’re not sure of it just yet.”

I should tell him to fuck off for being such a cocky son of a bitch, but I don’t want him to leave me alone. I stop in front of the building to say goodbye. “We’re here.”

“The Schneider building—a business major?”

“Well, I’m just a freshman, so it’s not set in stone.” His expression changes. I can’t read it exactly, but it appears like a look of triumph.

“It’s been surreal. Have a good day.” I attempt to walk away, but his hand grips my wrist and halts my movements. Turning to tell him off, I find my words cut off as he drops his lips onto mine. I release a moan, using my free hand to pull on his lapel, bringing him closer.

He is the one to pull back. “More than lust.” I nod. Whatever it is, I’m captivated by him. “What time do you get out?”

“Eleven.”

“I’ll be back.”

“Don’t you have to work?”

“I have an interview and a meeting today, but I’ll shorten them up for you.”

“You don’t have to do that. I can meet up with you later.” I don’t even want to wait until my class is over to see him again, but I can’t ask him to change his schedule for me. I’m sure I already put him behind.

“Nope. That’s not going to work. I’ll be here at eleven, waiting to see your beautiful face and kiss those sweet lips.” His head dips, playfully.

“Perv.”

“I’m not the one with my mind in the gutter.”

“Bull.” The bell inside rings just as someone opens the door, letting me know I have five minutes until class starts. I stare at him as people start piling out the door. Finally, I turn around and walk inside. Stealing a glance back, I see that he hasn’t moved. I wave him off then head upstairs to my class.

Chapter 2

Nick

I don’t know what the fuck has gotten into me. From the second I looked up from Brie’s paperwork, I made it my mission to know the beautiful woman in line. With one glance, I pictured my future. A future, I didn’t know I wanted until I saw her.

Now, I’m all in. I want the white picket fence and two and a half kids. Fuck that. I want to double that number, which means I need to get a start on that. The way I’m behaving isn’t me, but I can’t stop the urge to pin her to the nearest surface and fuck her brains out while filling her up for everyone to see. It’s primal and new.

I have to get Lia in my arms again and my bed forever. I stare at the building like somehow she’s just going to come running back out. She’s in class, so I return to the café and handle Brie’s paperwork and the interview. Fuck, I hope the girl is there already.
