“Of course. I’ll get out of your hair. Let me know. Thank you,” I tell him as I am leaving.

“You’re welcome. Talk to you soon, yeah?”

“Yeah,” I walk out to my car and head home. I’ve got nothing to do but wait, because as soon as I get her, I’m never letting her go.Chapter FourEsther“Hey Fran. How's married life?”

“Fantastic as usual. Except, hubby dearest is a hover copter. He acts like I am going to go into labor every second of every day. I have to keep reminding him that I am not due for another month,” she says. She acts annoyed, but I can hear the happiness in her voice. Envy starts to slowly creep through my body causing feelings of jealousy. What they have is beautiful.

“So, what do I owe the honor of a minute of your spare time?” I tease knowing her response is going to be swift and a quick-witted remark.

“No, you don’t bitch. We meet for coffee every week and at least three times a month you come over for dinner. Smart ass.” See. I told you.

“I know. But you are such an easy target. What’s up bestie?”

“I would like for you to come to dinner with me Baron tonight.” Uh-oh.

“Why would I be doing that, pray tell?” I already know, but I am hoping I am wrong. That girl is always trying to fix me up with someone.

“Well, we want to have a double date.” Damn it. I knew it.

“Frans, you know I love you and would do almost anything for you, but I am afraid I can’t. I have to get ready for my new job that I start tomorrow. Technically, I will be training tomorrow and Friday then I start the actual work for my job on Monday.”

“Job? Es, what the hell are you talking about?” This is why I haven’t told her either.

“Well, you are looking at the new personal assistant for Denton Kilworth of Kilworth, Kent, and Horowitz.”

“But… why? I mean… Es, you don’t have to work. Why are you choosing now to do this?” I can hear her genuine confusion. Now is the time I should explain, but somehow it doesn’t seem the right time.

“I want something different than what was laid out for me.”

“Shit. You’re serious? Well, congratulations bestie. See, all the more reason for you to come out with us. We should be celebrating. So, what do you say?” Why do I feel like I am going to regret this? But I have never been able to say no to her.

“Fine. Tell me the time and place and I will meet you there.” She claps her hands, her excitement and innocence one of the things I love about her. She rattles off the time and tells me to meet them at Venducci’s. We hang up shortly after. I look at the clock and see that I have less than two hours to get ready. Oh boy. Here we go.

By the time I am done getting ready there are only twenty minutes to get to the restaurant. Luckily, it is only ten minutes from where I live. There is nothing I hate more than being late. Deciding I don’t want to drive, especially with the heels I am wearing. I call an Uber and sit in the back of the car as my mind is whirring with images of the man who stole my heart all those months ago.

I can’t help but conjure up every image my head and body has created of him sans clothes as he takes me and makes me his. Shit. I probably shouldn't be thinking about this now. Squirming around to try and stop the liquid from dripping in my panties before settling down in a semi comfortable position. It probably doesn’t make for the best first date, when you're wet for someone else. However, I don’t think it matters since I have 100% no interest in anyone else but him. If it weren’t for Frannie, I wouldn’t even be here.

Tipping the driver, I get out of the car and let the hostess know I am with the Roades party. She smiles and leads me to the table. First thing I notice is that only Baron and Frannie are sitting there. Huh. So far, he hasn’t made the best impression.

“Yay!! So glad you made it,” Frannie says, standing up to hug me. I can barely get my arms around her as her cutely huge belly pushes me away.

“I told you I was coming goofy.”

“I know. I just…” Oh lord. Not the waterworks. She cries over everything. And I do mean everything. At one of our coffee dates last week, she was telling me about the one hundred orgasms her husband had given her that morning, and that made her cry. I mean, this girl is one huge waterworks.
