She screams and falls off the bar and to the floor. Big Chief’s face sobers, confusion crossing his face as he watches his fuck for the night suddenly drop off the bar.

Something tangles in my hand, it’s her fucking extensions knotted around my fingers.

One hand on the bar, she pulls herself up and looks at me with pursed lips and wide eyes.

“You stupid—”

I deck her in the nose before she can finish her sentence, blood instantly spurts from her nostrils, and she falls backward in a daze into the arms of Bobby, who is looking at me with fiery eyes. Bobby, my dad’s best friend. He knows I’m not supposed to be here.

Fuck, what am I doing? What the fuck am I doing out here? Turning my head, I glare at Big Chief, I did this because of him. He did this to me, he made me a jealous, stupid girl. Something I swore I’d never be.

Shit!

Stepping around Bobby, I quickly make my way back to my room and slam the door. My heart beats hard in my chest and I go straight to the bathroom to run my sore knuckles under cold water.

My bedroom door is thrown open, boots stomping against the floor until scuffing to a halt right behind me. I feel whoever it is staring with a hard heat. Finally I look in the mirror and see Bobby glaring at me with sharp blue eyes.

“You are not supposed to be here.”

I don’t say anything.

“Why’d you do that? Why?” His brows furrow, his surfer hair in his face. He’s so pretty you’d never think he was a biker without the tattoos and leather cut.

I still don’t answer. If I do, I’d just be admitting my own faults.

“Last time I saw a woman show up to a party and pull the shit you just did, it was your mother over your father!”

Turning the faucet off, I turn around and face him, my hands on the counter behind me. He knows my actions were one of a scorned woman and he wants answers.

“It’s Big Chief, isn’t it?” he asks with bated breath. His face searching mine for the answer.

Crossing my arms, I look to the broken toilet that is filled to the rim with water and Bobby sighs loudly. Well, now he knows I acted out because of jealousy and if he knows, how many others do?

“Jesus Christ, Delilah. Do you know what your dad will do?”

“Yeah, I know!” I finally break my silence, my hands in my hair as I stress the fuck out. I shouldn’t have left the room. I should have known Big Chief would be with another girl. “I just needed to know if…”

“Stop. I don’t want to know anymore. Last time I took a secret like this, I got shot for it. So just stop talking!” He holds his hands up, his voice slurs from drinking.

Silence falls between us he and he takes a step back, running a hand through his hair.

“Do not leave this room again, D!” He points at me.

“Trust me, I won’t.”

Big Chief

High and drunk, I look down the hallway where Delilah just ran to, and Bobby followed.

“Oh my god, are you okay?” Glancing over my shoulder a couple of the girls help the chick I was fucking with, Brandy, I think her name was. Her nose is bleeding, blood all down her chest and tits. Her hair a fucking mess, some of it’s even on the floor.

Turning my attention back down the hall, I feel like I should go to Delilah but then Bobby steps out of her room with his eyes set on me. His stance wide and jaw tight. Stomping toward me, I wait for him to ask what’s going on between D and me.

In a blink of an eye, a fist to my jaw has my head snap sideways. Throbbing, aching vibrations make my teeth clatter.

“Fuck!” I grab my jaw, the pain fierce. I wasn’t expecting that.

Bobby bends over me and gets in my face.

“It was my job to make sure you had a good time tonight and give you anything you wanted but the president’s daughter wasn’t on the fucking menu, asshole!”

I shove him away from me, anger making my chest puff out and breathing pick up.

“You think you can fuck with my best friend’s daughter and then fuck around on her? What kind of woman do you think you’re messing with? Huh?” he shouts over the music.

I didn’t know Delilah felt so strongly, I thought she wanted us not to be anything more than a secret. I was trying to forget about her and do what she wanted, but knowing how upset she is changes everything.

I push Bobby out of my way and hurry down the hall.

“You’re a dead man!” Bobby yells, but I keep going until I get to Delilah’s door and let myself in.
