Our Love Story - Page 70

“I know this isn’t your first choice of how to spend our last day in California, but thanks, Ethan, for coming. It wouldn’t have been the same if you hadn’t joined us.” I give him a kiss on the lips, and like always, the other guys look away tenderly, without jealousy or feeling threatened.

You can’t come as far as we have without believing there is enough of our love to go around.

“Before I forget, you need some sunscreen, Bella,” Enzo says. “You always burn up fast.” He pulls out a small bottle and helps apply it to my shoulders and back. I’m wearing a strappy tank top and jean shorts.

“That was thoughtful,” I tell him, giving him a kiss. His lips are full and there is a layer of desire in his eyes, even now. Even in a public place, he doesn’t hold back. He wears his heart on his sleeve.

“Of course, love,” he says, pulling back and putting the sunscreen back in his backpack.

“Now,” I say. “I’m a rookie and don’t know where we should start. What do you guys think?”

“We have to go on Small World first,” Noah says.

Mason groans. “Are you fucking kidding me? I agreed to come to Disney for Chloe’s sake, but a boat ride with singing puppets? That’s stretching it.”

“No way,” Noah says, grabbing my hand and directing us on a path headed right.” I’ve been here plenty of times. And no trip to Disney can start without Small World.”

I giggle, liking this assertive side of Noah. He’s usually so playful and easy-going, but right now he seems to know exactly what he wants.

“Whatever you say, boss, and so I say.” I’m just along for the ride.

Enzo smirks. “I came for that private hour on Tom Sawyer Island with my bellissima.”

The other guys nod in agreement. “We have that reserved for us tonight,” Noah tells me.

My nipples harden at the idea.

Since Mason has been given the go-ahead for sex from his doctor, we haven’t exactly practiced any restraint. And why would we? There are plenty of difficult components that come with a group relationship, but there are also plenty of positives.

Like having an orgasm anytime I wish.---Small World. Pirates of the Caribbean. A Haunted Mansion. The day is half gone, and I’ve been dragged all around this park. Every wait in line has been worth it, though. This really is a magical place.

“Dole Whips?” I ask as Mason hands me a cup of pineapple ice cream.

“Yes, for the Tiki room.” Mason gives me a kiss on the lips and then the nose. “It’s a Disney prerequisite, and I want you to sit next to me.”

“The Tiki what?”

The guys don’t say any more. They just drag me inside a thatched hut. We sit on wooden benches, holding our ice cream, and enjoying the break from the California sun. Mason’s hand is on my thigh, and it moves up ever so slowly as the room darkens and the show begins. I get all tingly when I am next to him, and I nestle closer to him, appreciating his touch.

We spend the next twenty minutes being entertained by singing birds, and at the end of the show, Ethan and Enzo are groaning.

But Mason is surprisingly smiling. Well, it might have to do with the fact my jean shorts are extra short and his hand traveled further north the darker the room became.

“Okay, I’ll hand it to you, Noah,” Mason says. “You’ve made some pretty damn good choices without an itinerary today.”

“Wow, a compliment?” Noah punches Mason in the shoulder. “Well we’re headed to Space Mountain next, and I guarantee that’s going to be your favorite.”

He’s right, of course. After we board the roller coaster and sail through a pitch-dark sky, twinkling stars surrounding us, moving at intergalactic speeds, we’re all a little stunned.

“That was insane,” I say, putting my arms around Ethan as we stand amid crowds of people. The rest of the guys are in the gift shop looking at lightsabers and tee shirts.

“What do you think of this place?” I look up at him.

Ethan’s eyes meet mine. They are usually so dark, but right now they are bright. “I’d say it was worth the wait.”

“It’s good to come here, isn’t it?” I say. “It’s kinda like we’re getting a chance to close the circle on our rough childhoods.”

“I get what you mean. I wish you never had to have gone through all that, though, Chloe,” Ethan says.

“Ditto,” I say, kissing him on the cheek.

The guys join us and we stop for churros from a vendor and then head to Main Street. We eat them while a parade passes through, and tons of kids are squealing around us, strollers are parked every which way, and parents are taking photos on their phones left and right.

“It’s hard to imagine what it would be like to be a kid and come here,” I say. “As an adult, it’s sensory overload.” Just then a parade float with Disney Princesses drives by, confetti filling the air and a big brass band marching beside it.
