‘Did I ever say I didn’t like your pirate costume?’ Ram’s grin was wicked. ‘I’m looking forward to some rather exciting pri
vate exhibitions by the infamous Arabella Drummond.’
With a cry of pretended disapproval Mia fell on him, kissing and punching him, and loving him with all her heart. ‘You have a one-track mind, Ram Varindha.’
‘Yes…full of you,’ he said. ‘We’re going to have such fun, Mia. I know I’m asking a lot of you—new home, new career, new public responsibilities—but I want you to know that we’ll always make time for you and me…’
‘Fun, you said?’ Mia said when Ram finally released her.
‘You have no idea,’ he promised.
‘I have some,’ she argued. ‘But not too much fun for you, rich boy.’
‘Meaning?’ Ram said suspiciously, shooting a glance at Mia’s long legs flailing about as she reached underneath the bed.
‘I have something for you,’ she said, emerging triumphant.
‘What’s this?’ Ram said, laughing as she handed him a full racing kit complete with helmet.
‘So, what do you think of your new logo?’
Ram could only shake with laughter. Gone was the naked woman, and in her place was a pirate queen complete with eyepatch and a very dangerous expression indeed on her face.
