“My turn,” she said with a wink. “Without your love, Layton, I don’t know how I could live. You’re not only the love of my life, but you’re also my best friend. ”
Tim McGraw’s “My Best Friend” began playing as I looked into her eyes. This time, it was her turn to reach up and wipe away my tears.
“God, I love you so much. I just can’t even begin to tell you how much I love you. ” I leaned down and gently kissed her lips.
She pulled back slightly and smiled. “How about if you show me later?”
I laughed as I pulled her closer to me.
As the night wore on, I was getting more and more pissed at Mitch. He’d only danced with Courtney once. The rest of the time she’d been dancing with Kate.
My heart was breaking, and I was just about to make my way over to talk to him. He was talking and laughing with Richard. Whitley stepped in front of me with that drop-me-to-my-knees smile of hers.
“You ready to leave?” She wiggled her eyebrows up and down.
All thoughts of Mitch quickly disappeared. “Fuck yeah, I am!” I said with a smile and a wink.
We had already done all the traditional stuff, like throwing the bouquet and garter belt. Now, it was time to leave.
We made our way to my truck, getting pelted with birdseed while bubbles surrounded us along the way, as everyone cheered us on. I was so glad Whitley hadn’t changed out of her wedding dress. I wanted to slowly peel it off of her. It was so damn beautiful that I almost wanted to make love to her while she was wearing it.
As we made our way down the driveway, she turned and looked at me. “I don’t think I can wait until Austin. ”
I looked at her, stunned. “What? What do you want me to do, Whit? Pull over on the side of the road? It’s only an hour and a half to the hotel, baby. ”
She leaned back in her seat and let out a sigh. “I need you, Layton. God, I just need to feel you. I’ve wanted to just sneak away all night. I can’t take it any longer. Do you know how hot you look in that tux?”
I felt my dick getting harder, and I tried to adjust myself. I glanced over and looked at her.
“Can’t we just go back to the house?”
“What? No! Oh my God, Whitley. Your parents are there. Do you want your dad to kill me?”
“Layton, we’re married. I’m pretty sure my father and mother know what we’re going to be doing tonight. ”
I shook my head.
No. Not a chance in hell. I value my life way too much.
As I drove, I noticed Whitley trying to stay awake. Before I knew it, my princess was out cold and snoring away. I pulled up to the W Hotel in Austin and smiled. I was finally going to bury myself deep inside her after wanting her all day.
Our flight wouldn’t be leaving until two the next afternoon. We were going to Europe for three weeks for our honeymoon because Whitley couldn’t make up her mind on where she wanted to go, so I told her we were going to see it all. I’d never seen her so excited.
I’d asked Reed to stay at the ranch and take care of things while we were gone, knowing Whitley had made arrangements for Courtney to stay at the house also to watch the dogs. I smiled, thinking about the two of them living together under the same roof for three weeks.
As I pulled up to the valet parking, I jumped out and ran around to get my sleeping beauty out of the car. She snuggled her face into my neck as I carried her through the lobby. I was completely intoxicated by her smell.
“I fell asleep,” she mumbled.
I let out a small laugh as I kissed her on the top of her head.
She looked up at me. “I feel like Cinderella. ” She scrunched up her nose and smiled that sweet smile of hers.
“You’re more beautiful than Cinderella. ” I walked up to the reception desk.
I slowly slid her down, and she smoothed out her wedding dress.
“Oh my! Your wedding dress is stunning!” the girl behind the counter said.
