Che (Golden Glades Henchmen MC 2) - Page 82

And then we'd been blessed with a loud, wild, adventurous tyrant who woke up in the morning begging to get out of the house, to go outside and play, to run around and get into some trouble or another with her cousins. She was currently standing in the center of the trampoline with all the other kids sitting cross-legged in a circle around her, listening to whatever crazy plan she'd hatched up in her four-and-a-half-year-old brain.

"Got anything yet?" Che asked, walking up behind me, placing his hands on my round belly.

"I don't know. Since they have been coming out meaning the exact opposite of their names, maybe we should name him Hades, and we will get a little angel out of the deal," I said, smiling as Iris placed a flower on the center of her Uncle Remy's tortoise's shell before continuing on her way.

To that, I got a little chuckle out of Che.

"We got a couple more months to iron out the name thing. If that little hellion doesn't kill us first," he said as Hess got to the top of the trampoline stair, raised her arm like she was leading her people into battle, then promptly jumped right off of said stair, making my stomach drop for a moment before she rose from her crouched-landing position, and tore of screaming like the lunatic she was.

Hess had been the one to jump right into that battery-operated car as soon as she was big enough to reach the pedals, then promptly drove it right into a tree.

"I don't know. He's going to need to be a hellion himself if he is going to stand a chance with his big sister," I mused.

It was still hard to believe at times, that I'd gone from all alone in the world, no place to call my own, to settled down with a real husband, with two—now almost three—kids, a club, a family, a thriving business, and a really, really nice car that Che and I had built that we took out only on date nights these days, taking long drives.

And once, five months before, finally breaking in the backseat of a car.

Which was how baby number three was conceived.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked when we stood there in silence for a long while, watching our kids.

"We're going to need to get fleet insurance in a couple years if we keep having kids," he told me, making a surprised laugh bubble up and burst out.

"That sounds like something we would need," I agreed, turning in his arms. "But these kids will have to drive very safe, non-racing cars," I added, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Maybe we could go see Mack at the Volvo dealership," Che suggested, making a laugh move through me.

"You know, I was just thinking that we needed a good, safe, reliable family car," I admitted.

"Oh, how things change, huh?" he asked, pressing a kiss to the tip of my nose.

"Yeah," I agreed, leaning in to rest my head on his shoulder. "But I wouldn't want it any other way."
