Now it was her turn.

CHAPTER 21

TOUCH LINE

I lay on my back and panted for a couple of minutes. I could feel my cock deflating though it was also the only place reminding me I had a pulse. The rest of me felt like I was floating in a sea of Nicole’s hair.

She still smelled good.

I tried to get up to find us a towel, but Nicole pushed me back against the bed and did it herself. I could hear her in the bathroom, running the water in the sink, and a few seconds later, she came back with a less-sticky hand and a slightly damp towel, which she gave me. I cleaned up and then pulled her back down to me.

“You are so…fucking…fantastic…” I said between kisses. I felt her mouth turn up in a little smile.

“It was good?”

“Fucking fantastic, I told you.”

She smiled again, and I snuck my hand back to cup her breast. I started kissing down her neck, shifting slightly so I could reach more of her effectively and guiding her onto her back at the same time. I kissed the top of each of her tits before sucking one into my mouth. I slid my other hand down her front, running over her stomach and playing at the top of her shorts.

Nicole giggled.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

Now I was confused.

“Um…I was going to…” I stopped and brought my eyebrows together. She was looking at me like she was confused, too.

“Oh,” she said with sudden understanding in her eyes. “You don’t…have to do that.”

“I want to,” I said, still confused. Why the fuck wouldn’t I return the favor and get her off, too? Had I somehow crossed the touch line and was totally out of play? “You don’t want me to?”

“It’s not that,” she said. She moved her gaze away from my face, refusing to meet my eyes.

“What is it, then?”

“It just…wouldn’t work,” she replied.

“What is that supposed to mean, ‘it wouldn’t work’?” I demanded. She was being fucking cryptic, and it was starting to piss me off. I was bad enough at this relationship shit. I didn’t need anything else hampering me.

“I’m just…not really…very…orgasmic,” Nicole finally said. She looked away from me again, embarrassed.

“What do you mean?”

“I just…don’t have them,” she said quietly. “At least, not with someone else. And it takes a really long time for me to warm up even if it’s just me, and it’s late, and—”

“It’s not that late,” I interrupted. I knew she was just making excuses.

“It would be if you tried,” she said.

“You said we were supposed to say it if something was bothering us,” I reminded her. “Say it.”

Nicole looked everywhere in the room except at me and then let out a sigh.

“I’m just…not any good at it,” she finally said.

I looked at her face, and the same expression she had when we first got to the room came over her—something between anxiety and sadness.

And it hit me.
