“Abby? Abby, you okay?”
She then realized he’d turned the shower off and was stepping out. Shit. Shit.
She did the only thing she could think of.
She slammed her hand across her eyes. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to look!”
Chapter Seventeen
He had to bite back a laugh.
Yep. Freaking adorable. She stood there with her hair a wild mess around her head, dressed in her onesie, with her hand covering her eyes like a little girl caught doing something naughty.
Hmm, but the look in her eyes had been all hunger and heat. She wanted him.
“No need to hide your eyes, baby. You can stare all you want.”
Two of her fingers parted and one eye peeked out at him. “What? Really?”
He grinned at her. “I’m not shy. Like what you see?”
“Like? Are you kidding? You’re a freaking Greek God. I’m practically salivating over here.” She slammed her other hand across her mouth and covered her eyes up once more. Her face was entirely covered by her hands.
He couldn’t stop the laugh that erupted.
“Baby, drop your hands.”
She said something that was muffled by her hand. He glanced at the towels which were hung on the rail. He should probably wrap one around himself to make her more comfortable. But screw it, he needed all the tools he could put his hands on in order to get her to agree to a relationship with him. Maybe it was a bit manipulative...but if she liked his body that much who was he to deny her from staring, and touching, her fill. Stepping forward, he gently grasped hold of her hands. He frowned at the bruises on her wrist.
Never again. Never again would he allow any harm come to her.
He drew back her hands, kissing her bruised wrist gently. Her eyes were still closed and he leaned forward and placed soft kisses on each eyelid.
He saw the tension melt from her. She sighed. He kissed the tip of her nose then brushed his lips across hers. She whimpered in protest when he moved his lips away. She raised her face. “More.”
He raised an eyebrow at the demand. “More, what?”
“More kissing, please. I like when you kiss me.” The words came out in a rush, and she blushed slightly.
“That’s good. Because I love kissing you. First, though, I’m going to need you to open your eyes.”
He waited. She opened one eye, stared up at him. Then the other.
He rewarded her with a proper kiss. He grasped hold of her chin, holding her in place as he drew her lower lip between his teeth and tugged at it gently before pressing his lips against her soft ones and teased her with his tongue.
Heaven.
“There, that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
“I...I didn’t mean to walk in on you.”
“If I didn’t want you to then I would have locked the door.”
“You wanted me to walk in?”
“Anytime you want to come join me in the shower you are most welcome.”
“I’ve never showered with anyone before,” she confessed.
