“Harder, faster,” she pleads. Her body is quivering, a light sheen of sweat is covering her skin, and I know with the scrape of my teeth against her and the upturn of my fingers, she’ll fly apart for me. So, I do just that. I work her harder and faster, soaking in our time together, praying like hell this won’t make our situation worse at the end of the day.
I nip at her clit one last time. Her pussy convulses around my fingers, and she comes for me. Fuck, she does more than come. Luna fucking falls apart with my mouth and fingers, and goddamn, do I love that I’m the man who does it for her. I slowly bring her back down, watching her movements the whole time, even when she covers her eyes with a forearm.
I kiss her clit, remove my fingers, licking them clean, wanting her taste to linger for-fucking-ever. When I’m done, I move until I’m lying beside Luna, my hand finding hers, kissing the tips of her fingers while she comes down from her high.
“I think I’m dead,” she mumbles. I chuckle.
“Ready for round two?” I joke.
“Give me five more minutes,” Luna replies, but turns her body into mine, resting her head on my chest, right where my heart beats for not only her but our son in the other room.
“I’m not going anywhere. Take your time.” Her hand is still holding mine, both of ours on my stomach.
“You mean that?” she asks, her head popping up, showing me her blue eyes and those freckles I love so much.
“I promise that. Rest your eyes for a few minutes. I’m not nearly done with you.” She relaxes on top of my chest. I watch as her eyes close, mine doing the same. This was how it was our first night together—combustible, an uncontrollable need to be connected somehow—and I’m beyond fucking ecstatic time hasn’t changed that. Once I feel her body relax, I do the same, not letting her go, not now, and definitely not ever. Wherever she and Sailor are, that’s where I’ll be.

“I swear to God if I wake up to an empty bed one more time, I’m going to scream my head off.” I may have started to drift off to sleep with my head on his chest, but I felt the moment Mateo relaxed, and that’s when I was lulled into dreamland. It still doesn’t explain why the sheets are cold and I’m having a sense of déjà vu when I peel my eyes open.
“Te mordieron las ormigas?” I sit up, looking at the scene before me. Mateo is shirtless, only wearing his shorts from last night, but what really has my ovaries on overload is the fact that he’s carrying our son. The bond they seem to be developing so quickly only makes my hormones go into even more of an overdrive. Sailor is dressed for the day in a tee shirt and a pair of board shorts I picked up at a surf shop, They were a little pricey, but I couldn’t help it.
I cock my head to the side, not understanding a word he just said. If he’s going to talk Spanish a lot, that means Sailor will, which means I clearly need to get my rear in gear and find some type of Rosetta Stone.
“What did you just say?” I finally respond.
“Did ants bite you? The way you were yelling the room down, it seemed like ants were in the bed with you.” Mateo walks toward the bed. I’m still naked. The sheet is the only thing covering my now sitting frame as I hold it to my chest.
“No, but waking up on my own wasn’t a feeling I liked.” His knee hits the bed, and he lets Sailor crawl toward me.
“You were dead to the world. Sailor woke up. I figured I’d let you sleep in for the day. Now that you’re up, get ready. We’re having a beach day.” Sailor climbs on top of my lap, coming in for a hug.
“Oh.” I feel like a heel, but he doesn’t let it go that far. Mateo leans in closer, his lips meeting mine, giving me a soft albeit lingering kiss.
“Buenos dias, mi diosa.” His voice turns husky, causing my body to shiver.
“Morning. I really need to learn to speak your language, huh?” I question.
“It wouldn’t hurt. I’d like Sailor to know both languages, maybe a third if he picks it up easily.” I nod my head in agreement, thinking that would be pretty cool. He’d definitely be a step ahead in any and all aspects of life.
“Good morning, baby boy,” I coo softly in his ear, holding him to my chest as he babbles.
“Sailor and I already discussed it. We’re going to stop by my surf shop, so I can change, grab a board, and then head down to the beach. It’s a family day,” he states.
