It isn’t until the four of them get together that you see the true story of them all.
They are brothers. Not by biology, but by friendship. A friendship borne of spending all their lives together due to the close bond of their parents. They have each other’s backs and in a world like the fake facade of Malibu, that’s not something you turn your back on.
So after dating disaster after dating disaster—the only successful relationship having been Flynn’s five year relationship with actress Rose O’Hara, (which ended amicably)—they decided, maybe, what they needed was one woman. One between them all. A woman who would accept them for who they were, and equally be worshiped in return.
My investigation led me to laugh at the very idea. The filthy rich really did believe they could have everything. When money is no object and you’ve been brought up with everything your heart desires, when does common sense prevail? The chances of being able to share one woman were low to say the least.
They'd attempted to date the same women, but without success. One woman had come to us at Revealed to tell us her horror at being judged by the FRAP boys.
That’s when I decided I would play their game, I would investigate, and I would expose them for everything they were.
What happened? The impossible. I fell for all four of them.
Yes, fell. As in fell in love.
I discovered that they all had their faults, but no different to anyone else’s. Yes, Smith had treated a woman badly, but it was while he was in the depths of his alcohol problems. Maybe soon he could contact the woman he hurt and apologize? Every one of them was just so very human, infallible, imperfect.
I didn’t believe in instalove but I have no other words to define what has happened as I’ve spent time with the four of them. I barely know them, but I love what I DO know about them and I want to learn more.
When I started my investigation, I didn’t realize I’d end up being that woman—the one they chose to spend their life with. I still don’t know whether I will be. That’s down to the four of them, fate, and time itself.
But whatever comes next that’s me signing out of my role here at Revealed because I’ve not only fallen head over heels for these men, I’ve fallen for the surf, the beaches, the Bu.
I’m not returning to city life. I’m staying here, being reborn.
Regards, The Filthy Rich Playboys' Woman (TM).
There was a marked silence as Morgan finished reading the piece.
“You can use it or not. I don’t care.” I told her.
She ripped it up and dumped the remains in the swimming pool where they floated around. “Morgan! Couldn’t you just use a trashcan like a normal person?” Flynn’s stepmom complained.
“Wouldn’t have the same impact now, would it, Carrie? Just charge the pool cleaning to me if you’re short on funds.”
They both burst into laughter.
The four men walked over to me and gathered around.
“Do you mean it?” Carter asked.
I put my hands across my chest. “I wouldn’t have said so if I didn’t.”
“Ooh that sass. Let’s spank it out of her later,” Smith said quietly.
We all smiled.
“I have an announcement before I leave.” Bill said loudly, and everyone turned to him. “Smith, my son. I won’t be returning to Carbon Beach. I’m signing over my house to you and I’m retiring to my island. You are of course welcome to visit any time you like.” He walked over and hugged his son. “Feel free to make any renovations you feel necessary.”
“Thanks, Dad. I have a feeling the house won’t be the only thing changing. It’s time I became a bit more responsible for my actions." He looked over at me. "You can arrange a meeting with Leonie.” He said. “My apology is well overdue.”
All the parents left with talk of future soirees. The staff cleaned up and departed too and that just left me and my Filthy Rich Playboys.
“So, I have to ask. Are you willing to be turned?” Flynn said.
“Yes. It’s the only way I’m going to keep up with you all, and that’s definitely my intention. I am part succubus after all.”
“That must be quite a shock?” Jayden asked.
