The Secrets That Find Us (The Devils Dust MC Legacy)

Delilah is definitely sexy, different than other women for sure. Others are like white doves and Delilah, she’s the slick black crow that stood amongst them all. She’s the kind of chick that likes to get into trouble with you, and I bet she’s kinky in bed too. You can’t have eyes and a mouth like hers and not be dynamite in the sack. Hell, every time she’d walk by, I couldn’t help but watch her ass. I’ve teased her playfully here and there just so I could see her smile, or get that playful slap on the shoulder. I couldn’t help it, I’ve always been a man that likes to play with things I shouldn’t, that’s why I used to be a bull rider. But seeing how much her daddy is freaking the fuck out right now, I’m counting my blessings I never stepped over that line and made a move with her.

He’s fucking insane, worse than a bull with his nuts tied.

“Fuck it, I’m going down there.” Shadow runs both his hands through his hair.

“I’ll ride with ya, prez,” Bobby offers, biting into his apple. His aloof tone making me think he’s stoned, then again Bobby is always laid back and casual. At least since I’ve known him.

Dani comes through the front door of the club and everyone’s head turns, Delilah’s mom. She’s fucking gorgeous and if she wasn’t taken by Shadow, I would definitely be trying to hit that.

“She isn’t going to come back with you as easily as you have it in your head, Shadow.” She points at him, and his eyes widen.

“Why the fuck you say that?” he asks, almost hurt. He still sees Delilah as his little girl, like he could drive down there and talk sense into her. I’m not even in this family fiasco, and even I think that is bullshit. She is not coming back.

“Because you’re daddy, and everything you say or do, she’s going to do the opposite. Sit your ass down, and wait until we know exactly where she is and we will get eyes on her.” Dani talks to Shadow in a tone none of us club members would, but seeing she’s his wife, she can get away with it, I suppose.

He crosses his arms like a defiant child and glares at Dani with a stare that could make a demon tremble with fear.

“I don’t trust anyone but our men, Dani. When we find her, she’s coming back with one of our guys and if I have to go down there and tie her up with a seat belt and throw her ass into a car, I will,” Shadow threatens, and I have to bite my lip to keep from laughing. All I could imagine is Delilah punching him in the mouth if he tried such a thing.

Dani groans with frustration, flipping her chocolate hair off her shoulder, her eyes blaze with heat. Silence fills the room for a second, Bobby finishing his fucking apple finally.

“Can I talk to you for a moment?” Shadow raises his arm, his hand gesturing toward the kitchen. She doesn’t say anything but walks through the kitchen doors, Shadow right behind her.

Bobby tosses his apple core across the bar and into the trash, wiping his mouth with his palm. He looks at me with a crooked smile.

“He’s about to grab her by the hair and bend her over the counter, teach her who’s boss,” he says matter-of-factly, like he’s seen it happen before.

“Dude, that’s fucking gross!” Zane snaps, quickly standing from the barstool.

I raise a brow, I didn’t know Dani and Shadow had it like that. Now I know Delilah is a freak in the bed if her momma is. That shit is hereditary.

Pulling into the small town of Forsaken Springs, a speck on the map of Georgia but their motorcycle shops are the best known around the US. The sun is just starting to rise this morning, the days all seem the same to me anymore. It’s been a rough couple of days living out of my car, and I’m ready to plant my feet somewhere and sleep more than a few hours at a time. Heading through town, I pass by a couple of small window shops, some for sale and a couple occupied with small businesses. Looking ahead, I find the big motorcycle shop at the end of the strip that’s what I’m looking for! Driving up to the landmark, There’s a giant tire with flames coming out from underneath it with the business name sketched into it.

Shiv’s Whip, a gray concrete building sits in the back, it’s larger than anything else in the area.

The corner of my lip cricks into a smirk despite the sleep heavy on my eyelids, and the cold but hot feeling stinging my eyes, I can’t help but be excited. I’m here. This is the best bike shop in the US, depending on who you ask, I guess. But it’s the best place for top-of-the-line parts for cheap costs, and the best paint detailing I’ve ever seen. Working here is every painter or mechanic’s dream.
