Lorraine stirred and made motions with her mouth, signaling she was hungry. "You get dinner ready whilst I fed her. That'll hurry things up."
"Then pizza it is."
She was about to say Rian could help him make something healthier, but Rian and the next eldest—Damien—jumped up and cheered. "Pizza, pizza, pizza."
"See what you did?" she murmured.
Rhydian grinned and then winked. "They can be spoiled tonight. It's a special occasion, after all."
At the amusement dancing in his eyes, she couldn't help but laugh. "Fine. But you'd better save me some. I'm starving, and if I'm feeding and getting Lorraine ready for bed, I won't be able to fend for myself like normal. I hope the next one is a girl, too. I need someone to balance out the numbers."
Rhydian merely winked again—probably to remind her dragon-shifters tended to have more male children than female—and rounded up the boys before guiding them to the kitchen.
As Delaney settled down in a chair with a view of the kitchen, she quickly had her daughter latched and eating. She watched her four lads as they argued over pizza toppings and she smiled. Who knew being tossed and locked inside a prison cell all those years ago would've given Delaney her happy ending.
