Bought For Love - Page 10

I never expected that sex between two people who were basically strangers could be so amazing. Would it get better as we got to know each other?

Chapter Five

MILES

Holy. Fucking. Hell.

I could barely catch my breath as I gathered Emma into my arms, cuddling her close. That had been mind-blowing—without a doubt, the best sex I’d ever had. And more intense than I could have imagined. It was almost a little scary, but I didn’t for one second doubt that I’d made the right choice when selecting her as my bride.

Emma sighed, and I cracked an eyelid open to gaze down at her beautiful profile as her head rested on my chest. Her skin was flushed with passion, and she looked satisfied and sleepy. Adorable.

“Are you worn out from the first round, sweetheart?” I asked.

I laughed when all she did was sigh again and nod. Kissing the top of her head, I rolled to the side and tucked her tightly into my embrace.

“Go to sleep and rest up. Tomorrow, we leave for our honeymoon and I’ll wear you out over and over again.” She giggled and teasingly poked me in the side, making me laugh before I kissed her nose and snuggled even closer.

I fell asleep with a gorgeous, naked woman in my arms, one who belonged only to me, and a wide grin on my face.

“What’s this?” Emma looked around the foyer at the multiple pieces of luggage and then glanced down at the old duffel in her hand.

“I packed for us,” I informed her as I prowled in her direction. “You needed a new wardrobe for our adventure.” I grinned slyly, since I had firsthand knowledge of the clothing that was tucked away in the cases. Julia had put me in touch with a woman who sold romance products and lingerie, and I’d given her free rein with my credit card. I’d also contacted a personal shopper at Saks Fifth Avenue and done the same, with a few stipulations, such as making sure there were plenty of sexy sundresses and barely-there bikinis.

“I have clothes…” Emma muttered a little petulantly. “You didn’t have to spend so much.”

It was sweet that she thought I’d overspent on her, especially since she didn’t know about her fully stocked walk-in closet yet. She obviously had no idea just how wealthy she’d become and that everything in the luggage, including the bags themselves, had cost less than a few of my nicest suits. I didn’t want her to feel as though I was insulting her current possessions, either, so I simply explained by saying, “Sweetheart, you’re my wife. I want to spoil you.” I winked at her, and she blushed prettily as she used her free hand to brush some wayward curls back behind her ear.

A horn honked outside, letting us know the car was here to take us to the marina. I gestured to the door. “Your chariot awaits.” Holding out my hand, I waited for her to take a step toward me. For some reason, this moment seemed significant. Like if she accepted my hand, she was truly agreeing to let me guide her into this new life.

“Trust me, Emma.” When her soft, delicate fingers entwined with mine, I breathed a silent sigh of relief. I pulled her to me and dropped a quick kiss on her pert little nose before taking her out front and helping her into the waiting limo.

While the driver loaded the luggage, I dragged her onto my lap and we necked like a couple of teenagers in the back seat. I was tempted to take her right then and there, but rationality won out, knowing I needed to let her rest from the night before if I wanted her to be able to handle two weeks of what I had planned for us.

“Fuck, I can’t get enough of the way you taste,” I groaned as I set her next to me on the bench seat. We were trudging our way through the traffic on Riverside Drive, making our way down to a marina on the Hudson.

“I like how you taste, too,” she said almost shyly as she stared at my lips. Before I could bring her in for another kiss, she turned to look out the window. “Where are we going?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know…” I teased.

“You’re not going to tell me?”

“I’d rather show you.” I winked at her playfully. “I think you’ll find I’d rather show than tell when it comes to a lot of things, sweetheart.” Memories of the night before assailed me, and electricity arced between us as my eyes swept over her beautiful body. Emma’s cheeks heated, but she gave me a sultry perusal right back.

It took about a half hour to get to the docks and park in the lot in front of my slip. Emma’s green orbs were large and round as she took in the Sea Dream, a 155.8-foot twin screw diesel yacht floating on the river.
