Averie and the Grizzly Skulls - Page 32

Moon

Ourhugfestlastedfar longer than I imagined it would, but I refused to let go. Their kind touches were a stark contrast to the manhandling I experienced only a few hours before. Although I had been terrified and thought I knew my limits, they showed me otherwise.

I could be pushed far more than I ever knew, and would have ever known, if they hadn’t kidnapped me and locked me away in a cabin.

Barely twenty-four hours had passed since I took my first steps into the Grizzly Skull Saloon and signed my life away. I had thought I would be their slave, but things had changed. I wasn’t their breeding bitch used for sex and nothing else; I was far more important.

I was Moon, the newest member of the Grizzly Skulls, and the only woman to ever pass their test.

I knew if I survived last night, I could survive anything.

Kodiak cleared his throat, and everyone pulled back, moving about the room as if nothing had happened. Ursus went on to prepare more food, Sonny sat on the couch as his gaze fell upon the still running TV, and Honey crashed down next to him, looking far cozier than I would have expected.

I shook my head slightly. Assuming I knew anything remotely factual about their normal lives was something I should stop doing. You know what they say about assuming… ran through my head.

Kodiak stayed on his knees before me and waited for my eyes to meet his own. When they did, his smile grew wide, and he fixed his posture, causing his long, gray-streaked black hair to fall over his shoulders.

He would let me braid it one day. I just knew it.

I beamed up at him as I let the stress of the last day wash from me.

“Av-Moon, my Sweet Moon.” He took a moment to sweep some hair behind my ear and caressed my face as his hand fell. “You have one more round, then you’re a member for life. There’s no leaving us. We would never let you, even if—”

“I don’t want to leave. Last night was Hell, but one I can’t wait to live through again.”

His smile grew wider than before, and his eyes glimmered with hope and pride.

“Well, then. Let’s not make him wait any longer, hmm?”

I couldn’t help but nod enthusiastically. This was what I had been waiting for. The Grizzly Skulls broke me and filled in the missing spaces with their deranged sort of devotion, but only I was capable of destroying the wall their leader had placed around his heart—and his dick.

Kodiak walked me over to Grizzly’s cabin—well, the one for the president of the club—and left me at the foot of the steps. We fell into an easy conversation about the seasons and which one was our favorite. I loved fall, but he preferred winter.

I already knew so much about them, but those small details meant far more to me than the information I had written in my notebook. These talks were real since they had nothing left to hide from me. I couldn’t wait to know everything about the men that changed my view on the world.

I was ready to take on Grizzly, but my pussy and every other hole in my body said an overuse of lube would be highly appreciated.

With one final deep breath, I made my way up the steps and opened the door. Any other person would have done the smart thing and knocked, but there was a reason they liked me. I challenged them when I wanted it too.

And waltzing into the head bear’s den was a challenge like no other.
