“What’s this?”
“It’s my first edition of Trapped.” She flips the book in her hands, knitting her eyebrows together in a cute way I can’t get enough of. “I want you to list it for the silent auction.”
“But this is your favorite book?”
“I know, but it’s signed. I think it can easily make a grand in the auction.”
“Bodi,” she whines, and it’s too damn endearing. “This is your favorite book.”
“It’s fine, baby. It’s just a book.”
“You’re so sweet.”
The phone on my desk rings again, and I press the button while my lips start a trail of kisses on her neck. She moans, sending a direct message to my dick.
“Yes?” I groan.
“I have Mr. Lennox on line one for you.” Agnes’s voice echoes through the room.
“Yes, send him through,” I tell her, then give Kayla one last kiss before tapping her thigh to kindly tell her to get back to work. She jumps off the desk, grinding her body against mine with a seductive look in her eyes while Mr. Lennox comes over the line.
“Bodi, how are you?”
“Mr. Lennox, I’m great.” My tone is unintentionally sultry from her touch, my breath fluttering Kayla’s lashes. She licks her lips, then stands on her toes to bring her mouth flush with my ear.
“I’ll hold you to that,” she whispers, then softly bites my earlobe. The sensation ripples a shiver down my legs before she takes off with a sway in her hips that’s supposed to be alluring.
It’s working.
Frustrated, I rub the back of my neck, keeping my full attention on the girl leaving my office. It takes everything I have to not end this call right now and pull her back by her hair. She’s hard to resist any moment of the day, but when she puts me to the test like that? I want to push away all my principles and give in to the need to be inside of her. To feel her as close to me as possible.
I roll my eyes with a smile haunting my lips when she sends me a wink, then finally leaves my office. Flustered, my hands rub over my face with a grunt audible from my lips.
“Bodi? Are you still there?”
I clear my throat, suddenly remembering I was on the phone, and my brows shoot up a little in embarrassment.
Keep your head on straight, Bodi.
“Yeah, I’m here.” It’s a blatant lie, because physically I’m here, but my mind stays with my little minx for the rest of the day.
