Tilly
“Youcanstop,”Luca whispered in my ear. I was in the air with my back to his chest, one arm wrapped around my chest, the other around my waist. “Stop.”
“Fuck Tilly, where did you go?” Jackson yelled, rushing to me with a bottle of water and a towel. Pulling me away from Luca and taking a seat, sitting me in his lap as he wiped away the sweat from my forehead and pulled me in tight. “Are you okay, darling?”
I nodded, wanting to cry, but knew I couldn’t.
What if Jackson and Luca were two of the men in black that night?
They both said they weren’t, but it could be a lie. Everything they told me could be a lie.
But I would find out the truth.
I held his gaze after I tipped my chin up, not looking away. My shyness was begging me to, but my stubbornness refused to budge.
I had to do this. Make them believe.
Lure them onto my web. I had to do whatever I had to do.
Jackson laughed. It was like he knew what I was thinking. “Have a shower, and then we’ll get on with the rest of the training.”
“Can’t I have a shower when I finish?” I asked. This was eating more and more in my time. Time I wanted to do this, but as my suppressants were waning, I wanted to get it over and out of there.
Jackson rubbed his nose into my neck. “No, because this training has spiked your perfume and as you smell delicious enough to fucking claim right now, I’d recommend you shower before it’s too late.”
I wiggled my ass on his thighs and realised what he meant.
“You’re doing well, Tills,” Jackson said. “But keep doing that and I’ll bend you over and fuck you.”
I grinned at Jackson and then at Luca. “Was this your strategy, having me sweat out my suppressants and start whining for you?”
“No,” Luca said. His tone was pleasant, but commanding. “But you have to admit, you like our company more when you aren’t taking suppressants.”
Of course I did. They were alphas, and my body without suppressants wanted them as badly as they wanted me. And the more I breathed in their scents, I knew this was a bad idea. I needed to go home, get away from them before I begged them to give me what I was desperate for—to feel an alpha inside me. Feel what omegas needed, feel what I’d never taken. “I can’t do anymore. I need to go home and sleep.”
“Okay, I don’t want you using a knife when you’re tired. Tomorrow?” Jackson purred.
“No way, I’m having a night off,” I said, inhaling. Stupid Tilly. Alpha scents filled my lungs, making my nerves tingle. I rolled my shoulders and shut my eyes, trying to pretend they had no effect on me. I needed a shower and fast and scrub myself from head to toe.
Anything to stop the slow seduction they had on my body without even knowing.
Or did they?
Were they doing something together?
Because one scent was intoxicating, the two together were like the most powerful aphrodisiac, which stimulated my senses and caused goosebumps to prickle my skin.
Jackson’s mouth was moving, but Luca was grinning at me. I moved my face away from Jackson and inhaled a deep breath.
“Every other day,” Jackson said, his nose in my neck.
“Sorry,” I whispered. My eyes rolled, I slammed my face in my hands.
Tilly get a grip.
“She’s gone hazy,” Luca said. “She isn’t listening.”
“You’re doing this on purpose. Take me home,” I said, my voice was scratchy as their pheromones coated my throat.
“Come here,” Luca said, pulling me off Jackson’s lap. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my head dropped on his shoulder as I turned and sucked in his scent.
Stupid.
“See you tomorrow, Tilly,” Jackson said, and it was only then I realised he was at the lift.
“Thanks,” I whispered, my eyes dropping to the same beat as Luca’s footsteps on the ground.
“You’ll be okay in a minute,” Luca said, pushing open a door as my eyes seemed to stay closed.
“I need a suppressant... or five,” I whispered.
