CHAPTER NINETEEN
Kelly
I had never known myself to be so aware of another person before now. I felt Brett all day. I could hear his voice, trace his laughter, even from the farthest corner of the building. Every time I caught sight of him, I felt a thrill deep inside. And most of the time when I looked at him, I caught him looking back, his gaze as intense as my own.
As I was talking to a customer in the office, he strolled in, standing behind me, joining in on the conversation. He leaned over me, tapping the screen as he answered a question about a part. His breath drifted past me, his unique scent enveloping me. I wanted to lean back into his warmth, but I had to resist. I did feel the press of his hand as it flexed on my shoulder. I swore I felt the brief pressure of his lips on my head as he stood, but I must have imagined it.
A short while later, I felt him behind me again.
“You need something?” I asked, not looking up from the file I was working on. I was afraid to meet his eyes, afraid he would see the desire and need in them.
He leaned over me again, and I shivered. His voice was low and amused. “Yeah, I do. I need to touch you.”
And he did, wrapping his hand around the back of my neck and tugging my head back. He kissed my forehead, his lips lingering.
“We’re in the office,” I protested weakly.
“And everyone is busy,” he replied, then kissed my mouth. Once. Twice. A third time.
“I feel you watching me,” he murmured. “It’s as if you’re touching me.”
“I feel you too,” I whispered.
A customer walked into the garage, and Brett released me, leaning on my desk. He picked up an invoice, pretending to study it. I tried not to notice how his coveralls were stretched over his erection.
“You, ah, seem to have a problem there.”
“The problem presents itself every time I get close,” he said, not looking up from the invoice. “When I feel you look at me. When I see you. It’s constant.”
“How unfortunate,” I replied. “Can I, ah, help?”
He jerked as I slid my hand over his thigh, cupping him through the denim. “Jesus, Kelly,” he hissed. “Keep doing that, and we’re gonna have a far bigger problem on our hands.”
“Well, right now, my hands are full,” I teased. “But I have to go check out a set of tires in the barn. Behind the tarp. In five minutes. If you’re there, I could assist with your, ah, situation.” I reached for my lip balm and sat back, smoothing it on my lips. He watched me, his problem becoming clearer with every passing second. I pursed my lips teasingly. “Only if you were interested.”
Narrowing his eyes, he stared down at me, then wordlessly pushed off the desk and headed down the hall. I heard the back door slam shut, and I had to cover my mouth to stop my giggles. I had no tires to check in the barn. I had no business in the barn.
Until now.
I waited a few moments, then headed over to Chase. “Can you watch the phone for me? I have to help with a problem.”
“Everything okay?” he asked.
“Yep. I won’t be gone long.”
“Sure.”
“Thanks.”
I headed for the barn with a grin on my face. I had a feeling it wouldn’t take long to help alleviate Brett’s situation. I rubbed my lips together. They felt soft and smooth.
Brett was going to enjoy the feeling of them on his cock.
Problem solved.
Later that afternoon, Brett appeared beside me again. “Sorry, my friend,” I quipped. “One barn blow job a day.”
He chuckled. “I still owe you.”
I met his gaze with a smile and a wink. “You know it.”
He lifted his hand, tracing over my mouth. “I love how you smile at me. The way your lips form my name.” He dropped his voice. “How they feel wrapped around my cock.”
I grinned. Earlier, in the darkness of the barn, I had surprised him by dispensing with any sort of foreplay, instead dropping to my knees and taking him in my mouth. I had worked him fast, using my lips, tongue, and hands, feeling satisfaction as he groaned my name and slid his hands into my hair, his hold on my head gentle. He came quickly, gasping as I swallowed around him, then stood, brushing off my knees and kissing him. He reached for me, but I evaded his hands.
“Later,” I promised. “I just wanted to take the edge off for you.”
“I want to return the favor,” he growled.
“Live with it,” I teased. “That was just for you.” Then I winked and headed back to the garage.
When he reappeared, he was relaxed and happy, although his gaze was still intense, and I shivered every time he got close.
